I've been here a few times now, and the food is delicious. The duck pancake is wonderful, a nice combination of flavours, although I could do without the raw onion. All the dumplings were great, but the chicken and prawn are not to be missed.

We were a group of 6 so opted for one of the Banquet selections; and this proved to be an inspired choice. The range and quality of the dishes presented were outstanding the more so that the restaurant was very busy. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Parking is not a problem. Well worth a visit!

Lovely family run business. Very healthy food, i had a takeaway and only took 10mins to cook. I was surprised, the veggies were cut nice and thick which was great, a very healthy and filling meal. Would highly recommend. Be aware though no eftpos facilities cash only

We enjoyed the wonderful food on offer at Mumbi Masala Indian Restaurant. There was a good selection on the menu, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was spacious and clean with toilet facilities and a separate area to wash your hands. I loved how the meat was so tender in my Beef Madras Curry. Excellent food.

I got a yen for Chinese food and rang the old favourite Hoi Shing. I ordered, got in my car and it was ready when I arrived. This was one of those rare times that something from memory that was so gorgeous was topped. Everything was fresh, hot, well-balanced and I am grateful.

This place was NOT run by Chinese like so many other sushi outlets. All the staff were obviously either Japanese or Korean which was heartening because both nationalities truly know all about decent sushi and how to prepare it. However that's where my joy ended. This restaurant's sushi was nothing remotely like what I receive in Japan and Korea. They only remotely resemble sushi but the fillings are something else. Like how about cheap mashed up canned tuna with huge amounts of mayonnaise !! Or what do you think of chicken with lemon sauce... in rolled sushi ?? Sound authentic? Please spare me :-( In fact nothing I got could be purchased in Japan or Korea. The condition of my sushi was terrible too. They were very roughly assembled by obviously untrained staff (I'm guessing backpackers).I haven't tried this restaurant's cooked food but if the sushi is so bad why would I risk anything else? As to service, most of the kitchen staff and waitresses looked pretty unhappy. The sushi prices were on the low side compared to other restaurants but the low sushi quality didn't warrant charging more. What a shame, shame, shame!

Sonnie's Thai is in Ballina River St, Ballina NSW. We are pleased to offer you a genuine Thai Traditional Dishes, prepared and cooked by Thai Chefs, who apply to each meal the authentic ingredients that would be used and cooked as they would in Thailand.
Popped in for lunch but one of those lunches where you want to get fed and then on your way. Sonnie's were offering a range of dishes at $11 each. Sounded good.Service was prompt and friendly and the food came quickly.Garlic vegetables with rice...OMG to die for. Fantastic and great value. Fresh, tasty and no after taste. No MSG used!My partners vegetable stay was excellent but my meal was the envy maker. So glad we found this place. Modern Thai Restaurant serving the freshest of local produce by our talented chefs. Relaxed atmosphere with outdoor dining available during summer. Licenced selling beer and wine.
Met friends here for dinner, the food was great and the service was good also. We had some difficulties finding the restaurant as it has moved. It is in the same street but down on the river just near Woolworths.
