I've stopped in here more than a few times over the last several years, mainly to buy smoked. Not only use it a smoke shop, they also have a really good restaurant inside. Anything from Burgers, to Meatloaf, to Indian tacos. They have a pretty wide variety of menu items, all reasonably priced. The place is owned and operated by Native Americans, which are actually really good. friendly people. The place is a little difficult to spot off of the interstate, so you'll have to pay attention to the Billboards when you see them. Plenty of parking for tractor trailers and motorhomes. The food is definitely good, and worth it. You won't be disappointed, if you stop in here.

Sunday's, most restaurants are closed in Deming. Looked for Mexican food and margaritas. None to be found. Stopped at La Fonda. Only 2 other guests - should have been a clue. Only beer and strange wine. Our group ordered chimichangas, quesadilla and tacos. Not much flavor in anything. Rice and beans tasted like it came from a can. Look elsewhere before stopping here.

We tried this place after asking the staff at the nearby Comfort Inn for a recommendation for an eatery within walking distance. At first we thought this place was a real family run place with home cooking. My wife ordered a two taco plate and I ordered a Chile Con Carne plate. The food was good but very small portions. They do not serve any alcoholic beverages and if you order a soft drink, it comes in a can.......no refills. If I were to stay in Deming again, I would find another place to eat.

It has been a year or so since we last ate at this restaurant and I am glad to say that the quality and service have remained high. It has really good Mexican food and at very reasonable prices. The portions will surprise you, and even delight you if you are hungry.

New Mexico Mexican fare is different (a good different) from the usual Tex-Mex I consume at home. Really enjoy the green chilis that are generally included in the New Mexico offerings. Food was well prepared and served promptly by a friendly staff. Great tasting and priced appropriately. Surprised with the sopapillas included with the meal. Costs for two, including soft drinks and tip, $25.

Service was quite good. Efficient and friendly. Samples of their red sauce and green sauce was helpful as both were spicier than I can tolerate, however the chunky green sauce had a great flavor. I ordered the delicious fajita salad which came on a bed of finely shredded iceberg lettuce. I was hoping for, but not expecting a few healthy dark greens, often hard to get in Mexican food restaurants. My husband ordered a Mexican plate that was chunks of beef, a chile relleno, and a taco. He loved it! The fresh made tortilla was very good. Serving sizes were generous. I took half of my fajita salad home. For dessert, we ordered a small sopappilla with honey. Each came hot and were so yummy. Just the right size for a sweet ending to our meal. And only a dollar for the 2. Such a deal! Our meal price was modest and was a great value. The one downside was the noise. Every table was full and it was hard to carry on a conversation. My tip is to sit at a table by the kitchen door. It helped our service.
