We visited the restaurant for the first time to celebrate Greek Easter Sunday. Here's the pros:Every employee was welcoming and everyone was ready and seemed excited to receive the Easter guests. The atmosphere was warm, the restaurant clean, the tabletops on point and the overall ambiance very positive. The live music provided was also very agreeable. Our service overall was good. From the menu the winners were the lamb chops, the grilled shrimp, the orange cake, the salads, and the chocolate mosaic. The items which needed attention were the kokoretsi appetizer (was not broiled adequately and a let down for me), the lamb with potatoes (above average but fatty), the side of horta (overcooked, chewy and lack of taste), and the galaktoboureko (also not fully baked). I wish the ownership and staff every success. The kitchen has some work to do to stabilize the product. Overall an OK experience but the dish quality did not mirror the price. We apologize for your less than perfect experience celebrating Greek Easter with us. Would you be so kind as to contact me so that we may discuss this in further detail? I am available via email at [email protected] look forward to hearing from you.

It's a very small place so make sure you make reservations. We ordered the Saganaki, Greek Sausage (Laconica) Lemon Artichokes all Authentic all delicious. The Saganaki came with some sweet Honey a fig jan... excellent idea. Main courses includes the Lamb Chops , Pork and Chicken Souvlaki. Lemon Patatos and Salads. Everything was fantastic. We will be back

We ate dinner here on a Sunday night, so the place was not that crowded. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food was very good quality. However the scallops were disappointing--tasty but not the best we've had, especially at a cost of $34 for 5 scallops. This is a popular place with people in the neighborhood. We were visiting friends who live nearby, but for us it was a bit of a drive. This is not a restaurant we would go out of our way for dinner. We have a local Greek restaurant with better food at much lower prices.

First time ever in Englewood when we were given event tickets to Performing Arts Center there and decided to have dinner there before heading home. haven't been to a Middle eastern restaurant in ages so chose LaMezza. Restaurant is clean and service good. It is BYOB but has a Shoprite liquor store almost next door. They did charge $5 to open a screwtop bottle of cheap wine. Which is kind of what was disappointing about the place, prices would have indicated a much more interesting fare. My wife had a mousakka, nothing like the more familar greek version, but not very spiced or flavorful. My lebanese 'burger' was okay, again not that tasty on its own and covered with greens that were soaked in a very sweet dressing. Roll nothing special. Overall bith dishes delivered less than expected for the prices, or maybe this is just what one gets for these prices in North Jersey? Food wasn't bad at all, just quite a bit bland and uninspired, Have spent half the amount for a memorable Lebanese meals in South Philly. If ever in Englewood again might try one of the other places in what seems to be an interesting town..

Honestly, we only tried the Gyro, but according to the prices you'd expect something better. Don't get me wrong, the food was acceptable, but the "fast food looking" place does not match with the prices on the menu. Six bucks for a mineral water? Come on guys, Manhattan is a long way from here!Service was prompt, but the speed was the only positive fact.Probably you'd do better somewhere else.

I have been hearing a buzz about this place so we decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. Everything from the appetizers to the entree was incredible. Great prices and awesome service. The serve very authentic Mediterranean cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant and the bonus is it is a byob.

I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service. The food was also good. We placed our standard, âvegan friendlyâ order: Falafel, Humus, Roasted Eggplant, French fries, and Staffed Grape Leaves.I really liked their roasted eggplant â somehow different from the nearest restaurants. We set outside; I wish the weather would be better. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

At some point, Syros was an excellent restaurant in the area, and then changed managements so many times that I'm not sure what is going on but I know that the food is off. The octopus appetizer was tough and chewy, the humus tasted terrible, they no longer have Scordalia ( my family's favorite). The fish was good, I had the branzino and it was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, the waiter was very quick in accommodating our demands, always with a smile on his face. I hope they figure out what is going on in the kitchen and fix the problem soom. I would give it another try.
