We were staying in La Quinta and got 10% off coupon for Applebee's from the hotel. At the welcome desk of Applebee's Staff confirmed that the coupon was applicable on 2 for 20 offer too!We ordered a Veggie Burger which was good and Grilled Chicken Brest. Chicken was not that good.We were happy till we made the payment. The cheque total was 22 something, and I gave 50$ bill and waited for the change. After some time, since we were still occupying the table, the server asked us that do I need the change, and he thought change was for him.....Come on, Although overall dinner experience was good, still I am not going to tip you more than 100% for the service.I am rating poor only due to the tip issue. I am happy otherwise.
Found Wee Willies on a search for sports bars near me. Every town I travel to, I always look for the local watering hole, and boy did I ever find it...Street parking is challenging, but I was able to find someone pulling out as I arrived. Wee Willies is the perfect example of the "Hole in the wall" bar. maybe 20 feet wide by 60 feet deep, all of it.... A side entry door open to the single pool table, a bar with 10-12 stools along the far wall and halfway back a few bistro style tables, Kitchen and plumbing in the back....I sat at the bar, ordered a draft, looked over the menu and listened to the gaggle of locals hanging over the pool table in intense discussions of talent levels... The special was the Western Burger but I had already prepared myself for some wings... The wings were 8 pieces with celery and blue cheese, so I got 2 orders to go, and the Mac and Cheese bites just to try them out... Got back to the hotel, The mac and cheese bite were good, but not great, probably come in a 10 pound freezer box...The wings were surprisingly large, well prepared with an excellent hot sauce...turns out the 8 wings and bites was a good sized meal! I saved the second order and had them the following night...So, Wee Willies is not a family joint, although there was a couple in there with 2 kids, but I think they knew the owner... anyway, this is not fine dining by any stretch and some may be uncomfortable in the dive bar environment. I was very comfortable and did not feel out of place at all, even with my southern accent...If you want a very good bar menu, casual atmosphere, great prices on drinks ( I just had the draft beers) this just might be what you want..

In general, the food is good.......a step up from Taco Bell, but not as good as On The Border. Serving sizes are more than ample but the chips and salsa were disappointing. And be careful. Their daily specials, like taco Tuesday, only apply at the bar area and if you order outside of the bar the waitress will not tell you that the special is only good in a specific area. There is just a surprise when the bill comes. Then I checked the menu. In small letters on the menu it states that it is only good in the bar. I am sure that I am not the only dummy that missed it.
If you did not know about this place you might pass it by. Its on a busy traveled truck road in Eastern Bergen county. Marty who owns this place is a great guy with food specials every day with very large portions at pub prices. Can not say enough about the staff & the Cook!!!

I have been to The New Park Tavern three times now. The first was sort of a last minute decision as my regular watering hole had a power failure and the kitchen was closed. The last two tomes because I really like the food and atmosphere. A large round bar with 35-40 bar stools in the center with another 15 or so high top tables in the front area and a large low table seating are in the back room make for a larger place than I am used to. The menu is extensive, I have had the wings, a Calzone and the Genaro steak hoagie and they were all exceptionally good. The one concern on food was the buffalo chicken tenders, mushy with a ton of vinegar (READ CHEAP HEAT) and a small portion equals an unhappy experience. The next day, the wings were terrific, so fix the chicken tenders issue....Very personable staff, knowledgeable and friendly. Quick to offer suggestions and recommendations based on preferences, very helpful. My first couple of trips, I sat at the high tops and got a bill for food and beverages, when I sat at the bar, I had the bartender send a waitress over for the food order and received two bills. As this place has been around since the 1930's, I would think they could get this worked out...All in all, a very good experience with a few points that could be better, but a good enough experience and value that I keep going back.

Experience the best casual Italian dining with family and friends at Vesta Wood Fired which offers creative and unique flavors achieved through cooking on a charbroiler and hearth.
Stopped by on a Sunday night. They were close to our hotel and highly rated on here. The ambiance is nice, but the music can be a little loud. The pizza was good and the crust was very good. Solid choice close to Metlife stadium!!

Visited Zinburger at the recommendation of a friend. I tried the basic hamburger which was average in taste, which was difficult to eat with its size and condiments falling off the bun. The sweet potato fries were very good. the restaurant has the atmosphere of a bar with sports displayed on LED screens throughout the restaurant and a sitting bar counter in the middle.
