My husband works in S. Hackensack and eats here nearly every week. I spent the week here with him and he couldn't wait to take me to Wondee's. We went with another couple. The staff was very friendly - they originally wanted to seat us next to a window, but we asked to have 2 tables pushed together further back in the restaurant - no problem. The server was very helpful in ordering - we all had a different dish, pork fried rice, green curry w/ chicken, grilled beef w/ rice and another dish w/ beef and potato - all were very good and portions were generous. Lunch included wonton soup which was very good. I'd go again in a heartbeat.

Returning to enjoy a solo pre-holiday lunch was the right decision. The wait staff and food were as exceptional as my first-time experience. My table was immediately graced with soft and fresh bread and butter, water with lemon, and vegetable assortment. The waiter was attentive and helpful as I chose butternut squash soup, salmon Caesar salad, and sweet potato tipsy. Flavors in each dish were outstanding. Nothing was overdone, and everything was hot.The atmosphere here for lunch is comfortable and spacious, which I appreciate as a business break.Parking may be an issue (which is not under the restaurant's control), as the location is part of a popular mall. However, there are entrances outside and within the facility which may ease your search. I arrive just before noon which simplifies parking problems, and I'll be back in the future for more flavorful meals.

We went for brunch around 1:30pm, we wanted to seat outside but it started to rain, so they move our table inside, our table was on the side by the bar, the food was really good and the portion was very large, I end up having leftovers for 3 days.My only disappointment was the flies they were everywhere on the tables next to us and he waiters weee acting like it was normal. It was very disturbing. All I was thinking if the flies are out in the dining area like that imagine how they are in the kitchen area.

On a Saturday evening, a grey-haired band was playing oldies like "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" while baby boomers danced like they were at a wedding (all the patrons seemed like regulars). The band was actually pretty good, but it's not the quietest place to enjoy a meal, even in the back room. The food was NJ-diner quality, which means pretty good. I had monkfish as a special, which is rarely offered, and it was well prepared. The salads with meat on top are huge, enough for two or three meals. All of it was fairly pricey for what it was. Burgers, fries, and the famous roast beef sandwich (which I didn't try) were better priced.

We visited with our friends on Sunday night and the place was very busy, had to wait about 1/2 hour for a table. There is no place to wait so we just hung out by the door but it was cold and uncomfortable. Once seated, our waiter brought menus and drinks. It took an exceptionally long time for our main course to arrive, but we didnât mind, it gave us time to talk and catch up with our friends. The portions were very big, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely try this place again.

I have gone to Seafood Gourmet several times, and it has been consistently excellent. There is a fish market in the front and a restaurant area in the back. The ambiance at this BYOB is simple but pleasant. It is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait at busy times. Parking is on the street. The menu is extensive with all manner of fish and shellfish choices. My favorites have been the mixed seafood salad and pasta with white clam sauce. The seafood is always fresh and delicious, and the dishes are prepared with care. If you enjoy good seafood, you can't go wrong with this local idea gem.

Warm welcoming staff serving excellent food. The chick pea soup was tasty and served hot. Pasta with artichoke was excellent in white wine and chicken marsala with shrimp was delicious. Their menu is large and they are accommodating to food issues. We will definitely return
