Really enjoyed this place. You walk into a store front and there is a hidden door to the restaurant that looks like a street in Asia/Tokyo. Pretty cool atmosphere. We sat at the bar as we did not have a reservation. The bar was fine though because you got to see them making the drinks and the sushi close up.The California rolls were excellent. The cocktail was excellent. Server was attentive. The edamame was excellent. Steak skewer was OK. Prices pretty good. Very limited hours. I would definitely go back again. Maybe this weekend.Hello, we really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Okatshe. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Kwi Noodle House

I stumbled upon Kwi one night while looking for late night eats in AC. I’ve tried the noodle bars in most of the casinos and none are as good as this one! My go to is the wonton soup and salt and pepper pork chops. The wonton soup is served in a big bowl and has big wontons, vegetables, shrimp, chicken, pork and noodles. The flavor is delicious. We ask for chili sauce to put in it to give it a little kick. The pork chops are served with diced onions and peppers and are amazing as well! We live about an hour from AC and will make a trip down just to have dinner at Kwi!

Souzai Sushi & Sake

Simple... seasonal... sensual... Souzai features a diverse menu of hand-rolled sushi, fresh sashimi and traditional Japanese dishes, as well as a wide range of innovative cocktails, Japanese sake and beer. Showcasing stunning views of the beach, ocean sun

Reviewed By Guess W

This cozy corner is the first bistro-style restaurant you encounter after stepping off the escalator on the third level of the Playground Pier building along Atlantic City’s boardwalk. In addition to the round-the-bar seating, one can choose to sit in any of the comfortable cushioned chairs along the windows which offer a fine southern view of the beach, boardwalk and casino hotels. After a cordial greeting by Amanda, who took me to my seating, Amy came over to ask if I wished anything to drink. After taking my request, she left to allow me a few moments to peruse the menu. During my stay Amy was courteously attentive yet did not hover. On this visit I started off with their tasty Miso Soup. I then selected a bottle of Ozeki – Nigori sake, a full-bodied unfiltered (aka cloudy) sake to accompany my Sushi and Sashimi order which included Ahi tuna, seared tuna (delectably spicy), white tuna, salmon, mackerel yellowtail, crabstick and shrimp. The food presentation was pleasing to the eye – it made me think of a color palette, waiting to be dipped into. One extra touch was the pickled shallots which delighted my taste buds by the delicacy of the flavor and fine texture. Frankly, I enjoyed it so much, I ordered seconds! The fine edges of the sliced fresh seafood and smooth texture immediately let me know the Itamae* had his own personal set of knives. I soon discovered John has been preparing sushi and sashimi for over 18 years and has quick, steady hands while deftly slicing the fish, eel and octopus for the plate. I’m pleased to recommend Souzai Sushi & Sake for those seeking a bit of tasty, enjoyable R&R. My only suggestion is for management: check the window seats’ cushions more often for replacement or washing as the steady flow of diners off the boardwalk tend to scuff them up, increasing wear and tear. * Itamae = sushi chef. In the western world, the alternate term of "sushi chef" is popularly used. In Japan, becoming an itamae of sushi requires years of training and apprenticeship.

The space is very seductive. The food is good not extraordinary. Attentive service. It’s a good option for something more than casual at Borgata. The server spilled my drink upon service all over the counter and did not offer a replacement. The server should have been more educated regarding the menu. Seems she was only interested in what her options should have been . All and all the food was good , we were not there for the Monday special , it’s high end in pricing during normal operation.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere if the restaurant, with its impressive decor. Our server was very professional, friendly and efficient. He explained everything for us, so we were able to order with confidence. The calamari salad was very good, a mix of sweet dressing, bitter greens and crunchy squid. The five spice duck was perfect. The one item that I would recommend giving a pass on is the pitcher of zen-gria. It is $47 for a pitcher of mostly ice. It was hard to know if the drink actually tasted good or not, since the ice watered it down so much. Other than the sangria (again, I stress, don’t order it), it was a flavorful, satisfying meal.
