These bagels are huge. There so good and worth every penny. Definitely worth the trip. They have excellent breakfast sandwiches and also sell muffins and cream cheese and coffee, tea and soft drinks.

The restaurant has a large bar area with multiple TV's throughout the establishment. Upon entering you'll be overwhelmed by the level of chatter which can be distracting. The crowd appears to be middle age along with families with young kids which was unusual. Didn't notice a young crowd but perhaps it was too early (8:00 PM), you know old people eat early.The service was generally good and consistent, Luis addressed any of our concerns and had great suggestions on meal options. All of our meals and appetizers were very well presented and of great flavor. All in all it was a "VERY INTERESTING ESTABLISHMENT", since options are limited in Point Pleasant, I would definitely return.

I have coming to the "Beanery" for years; the food is always fresh. They have a nice selection of salads and sandwiches; as well as coffee and desserts. The daily soup specials are a must; they are always brimming with flavor. Patience is required; they are always crowded so the food takes a little while (its worth the wait). I really like the ambiance of the place; a nice unique establishment in Point Pleasant Beach.

Love the concept... I'm a Local. But the schedule seems more like You're A Visitor. Good healthy food with attentive service. But atypical hours and seasonal schedule seem strange for a "LOCAL" business.

We were happy to find this place during a recent visit to Point Pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast-pleasant, attentive service and a great menu with interesting options; there were so many interesting choices, it was hard to decide.The Crabcake Benny was a hit-Eggs Benedict over crab cakes and tomato, on a bed of fresh spinach. Delicious.The Huevos Rancheros looked like a work of art-beautiful presentation and every bit as delicious as it was to look at.There was a rolled oats and sweet potato special that was very good and filling. Really enjoyed it, along with a bowl of super fresh fruit and yogurt sauce. Great selection of smoothies and coffee drinks. This was a great find and weâd love to return and enjoy it again.

We always make a point of visiting Perks during our annual stay in Point Pleasant Beach. This is a casual country-type restaurant serving excellent food and offering excellent service. We usually go for breakfast - today we enjoyed breakfast for lunch. Unfortunately today was Perks last day open before closing for the season. We'll see you again Perks, probably next spring.

Me and my wife and 1 year old daughter were heaving an amazing time at point Pleasant Beach. Which was ruined by one person, Linda the manager at the food shack. We ordered food and were asked if we were staying or going to the beach. We said we were staying because we wanted to get our daughter out of the heat. So we waited for our food that we got in to go containers. Which was ok because they were busy and accidents happen. We took our food and went to sit down. Then Linda approaches us and starts telling us we are not allowed to sit inside because we ordered the food to go. She then begins to lecture us about how we were wasting containers, she made us feel unwelcome and disrespected. Her staff had to apologize for her behavior and other customers at the restaurant came up to us and told us she was out of line. When we approached her after the meal and told her how she made us feel she â oh stop it, i donât have time for this.â Linda should be washing dishes and have no access to customers as I would rather drive a half hour away then eat at a place that treats customers this way.
