Breakfast was hot and fresh! I had the steak breakfast tacos, lots of steak but needed a little bit more perhaps some onions or peppers. The eggs were perfectly cooked. My son loved the hot chocolate and his waffles. It was nice spot with friendly service.

We provide different varieties of appetizers and sides such as nachos, guacamole and chips, chicken wings, and more. We are a local, family-owned business established in 2016.
My wife and I visited El Tipico thinking we would get run of the mill Mexican food to tide us over till dinner. Boy were we surprised. Not only is the place well decorated but the food and service were great. I had a "Wet Burrito" with steak filling and it was prepared well including the mole sauce and added jalapeno peppers I requested. When paired with rice and refried beans it was all I could do to finish the meal. My wife had shrimp fajitas with rice and refried beans and she couldn't finish it all. The service was excellent even though the restaurant was crowded. My one complaint was the beverage options. You can bring your own wine or beer or select from a slim list of drinks they offer. I was surprised the unsweetened ice tea was in bottle form and not brewed there. It was a small price to pay for a truly tasty mexican meal. We hope to return soon with our own beverages.

We have been to so many Mexican restaurants and enjoy the spicy, flavorful, and truly delicious Mexican cooking. This restaurant's food was so bland and watered down. Runny, watery black beans.. no taste. Runny, watery hot and mild salsa. Ordered shrimp, chicken, and steak fajitas. Got 2 shrimp, 4 skinny slices of chicken and shoe leather thin pieces of steak. How made fajitas were tasteless. There had only been one other time in our lives we had such bad Mexican food. Yuck!
I stop often for take out. The food is always good and the staff generous. While I enjoy the gyros and beef empanadas, my favorite is the rice. It reminds me so much of my mother's Spanish rice, which I never mastered. The place is a bit cold for winter dining but pleasant in warm weather.
Went to the Exchange today for lunch. I expected to go to one of my favorite spots, but they were gone and replaced by Tacocat. I love Mexican, so I gave them a try. I ordered the Shrimp Quesadilla(shrimp well) and for an extra dollar, you get a medium size basket of chips and salsa. Everything is cooked to order so you are provided with a vibrating pager. Once food came out, I was impressed with how well the quesadilla was cooked and the amount of chips. Of course I ate all the chips first. Quesadilla came with sour cream and more salsa. I put it on heavy! Everything was delicious. I left Stuffed. Interesting about the name, backwards it is the same thing!
