Sakura Japanese Steak

It's over 90 degrees outside with humidity so thick, you're practically swimming through a haze of insects and perspiration just to take a few steps. With that imagery in place, we were darting from errand to errand as quick as we could after a long work day - trying to avoid the graduation gridlock along the way. A brief stop in Sakura for a few rolls was a great dinner choice - our server Kira was polite, prompt & patient - ice teas served, refilled, rolls served (on a boat) that were delicious.Quiet on the sushi side of the restaurant, so between the great service, good food, and peace from the heat - this was definitely an experience to pass along to fellow travelers.

Pretty good for "fast food" Asian food, but disappointed in the lack of variety - I wound up getting two chicken items when there's usually boneless spare ribs offered (as in other Asian eateries.) Still for a food court in which two locations were closed, this is one of the better offerings.

I just finished several dishes that I ordered from New Beijing House and I am very disappointed. I placed my order online which was convenient and easy and the ordering process even allowed me to adjust the spiciness of the "HOT" dishes I ordered. I request that the Chicken w/Garlic Sauce be prepared with medium heat and the Hot and Spicy Shredded Chicken and Szechuan Beef be prepared hot. None of these dishes have even a hint of heat and are all fairly flavorless. The best of the bunch is the Hot and Spicy Shredded Chicken but it is only mediocre at best. Now believe me, I am not expecting culinary greatness form a strip mall Chinese (American) joint but I have had much much better many many times. We also ordered Szechuan Beef that had some of the toughest and most rubbery "beef" I have ever experienced. Perhaps the most poorly executed dish however was the Wonton with Hot Spicy Sauce. When I ordered these I envisioned receiving crispy wontons with a side of Hot Spicy Sauce for dipping. What I received was a styrofoam clamshell container full of wontons that had been covered in the sauce. The sauce was actually quite tasty but only slightly hot and spicy but serving the wontons this way caused them to become soggy and chewy. Why would a kitchen even think this is a good idea? The Pork Fried Rice was fine and of your average variety. I'm not going into great detail with each dish because I feel that the majority of us know what comes in these dishes and there were surely no exciting twists in these dishes to bother mentioning. Very disappointing. Look elsewhere. In addition, when you walk in this place it just seems "odd" and there is a very strong smell of burnt oil permeating the establishment. Also, the name of this restaurant is New Beijing House. The name is wrong o both Trip Advisor and Yelp. Fishy?

Ginza Japanese Restaurant

After the renovation earlier this year, Ginza became a less than average place. Yes, all-you-can eat is still a nice (and cost-effective) option, but the food quality is not it used to be. Seafood soup, which we enjoyed before, has become an average (last time undercooked) soup. Not sure if we will come there again...

Hime

I went with a group of colleagues. I had the veggie roll and sweet potato roll and both were decent. The salad 'bar' was a disappointment. The salad dressing was a bit too orange/citrusy for my tastes. I can't say I have an urge to revisit anytime soon.
