Needed a place where I could take a client, eat quickly, and then head to the train station. This one fit the bill. It had your typical diner selections. However, we went in a bit on the later side for lunch (2:15PM) and the service showed. We were challenged to find someone to wait on us, and then it took longer than usual to be served. it could have just been the time of day? I order the Tuscany panini which was tasty and my colleague had the Buffalo chicken wrap. It was an abundance of food, which is typical of the diners in the area, and the cost is what you would expect. I was just underwhelmed with the service since it was a struggle to order, get our food and then get the check.

Quaint and relaxed, the Kenilworth Diner & Restaurant is dedicated to being your home away from home. Fresh, homestyle cooking paired with friendly and attentive service this is what we do best. Think: first-class dining on a first-name basis, where new p
Went for breakfast with daughter and grand-daughters. Selection is huge; food is tasty; prices are good value; service is prompt and pleasant - very nice atmosphere. The booth dividers in the rear restaurant are not anchored to the wall so every time the people in the seat behind us moved back and forth, so did we - it's akin to the little kid in the seat behind you on an airplane who insists on kicking your seat back. Simple solution - sit at a table or counter. Note: we didn't change because the restaurant was full and more people were waiting for a table. I hope the restaurant owner/manager gets a carpenter or handyman to anchor the dividers to the adjoining wall because we really liked the place.Thank you for the review hope to see again soon.

So we thought we would try something different for breakfast. I wasted $$ on pancakes. The pancakes were gritty. Itâs like Romper Room on steroids. We donât mind children as we have our own.....but please put manners on them. The service was good and the coffee was good but avoid the food.

We eat breakfast here about 2-3x per month and the food is consistently good. Our most recent visit was for Mother's Day and the egg yolks had a good orange color and clean grainy taste, the Western omelette was stuffed with adequate amounts of vegetables (peppers & onions) and meat (ham), and the meats have a nice "grilled" flavor to them. They have a lot of space across 2 dining floors so you can often get a seat without waiting, although Sundays get busy, especially after Church hours. During busy hours, depending on where you sit within the dining area, service can be a little slow. Overall, most servers are friendly and cordial. For dinner, they have a lot of choices and specials. While that food is also consistently good, there is nothing too special --- just your reliable diner fare. They have ample parking and it is within walking distance of Downtown Cranford.Overall, you can get a consistently good meal here.

True hidden gem for those seeking the 70-80's diner experience. The place may look like it needs loads of TLC, but the food and pricing were really good! Came here for a late night dinner option - they are open 24 hrs. Definitely plan on trying this place out for breakfast. It's sort of a triple d's joint. YES the cash only was the only drawback to this joint.
