Food was delicious. From tuna tartare, through halibut to the deserts. Considering that it is byob, a $45 fixed price dinner (weekday) is a very good value. Service was good and fast. Surprisingly there were empty tables and we were seated right away even though we did not have reservation. Highly recommended

Located in beautiful New Hope, PA, the River Cat Cafe offers breakfast and lunch options all day. Dine in our bright and airy dining room, or enjoy our outdoor patio. We offer breakfast and lunch fare that is unique and tasty.
I write this today Friday after my first experience with River Cat. 3 adults at 10 am for breakfast. I left underwhelmed. The outside seating was full and the inside had only 3 open tables.I noticed that 80% of tables appeared to be waiting for their food.We waited to even see a server. My daughter went to get menus from counter. We mentioned at this point that one of us had an appointment so we would like to order. Total time in and out was about 90 minutes. I ordered basic eggs, potatoes, bacon (hostess said their bacon was special, to die for) and TOAST.Received meal promptly, no toast until I went to counter and asked for it Water was served in old fashion glasses (Luke warm). Coffee was self serve and excellent but server did not tell us that when she took the order. So where are the Pros and Cons:Pros: Off-street parking, outside seating, great coffee, fair prices.Cons: Somewhat disorganized, slow service, small portions, no Air Conditioning (it was a 90 degree day), bacon ( special coating of Maple and Pepper . ) Did I say breakfast was my favorite meal? Not here I'm afraidHi Terry,Thank you for sharing! I am glad you enjoyed the coffee, and the free parking. You did hit one of our busiest hours when you appeared to be in a hurry. Hope you will give us a second try when you are not as rushed. Thanks again for giving us a try and for your feedback.

I was excited to try this new addition to the New Hope food scene. They did a great job with the decor, dark, cozy with some great light fixtures.Service was friendly but a tad off the mark. Only a hostess and a server. Hostess came to take our order but was unclear about the specials.Food was farm to table. Peach salad with burrata was okay, but not special or unique. I ordered lamb chops that were good but I ordered them medium rare and they came medium well. There seemed to be one too many things going on, on my plate. The corn side would have been a nice stand alone as corn is so fresh and at peak now - didnât need mushrooms, onions and broccoli rabe tossed in.Good potential, early stages, could be good but needs a few tweaks. Thank you for posting a review. We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. We strive to make the best experience for all of our customers and have taken your views into account.Again, thank you for taking the time to review our business!

This is my favorite place in New Hope. The food is always great. Service not lacking. Ambiance charming. Always a fun time. After the restaurant experience step inside the front bar and have the best drinks in town. The bartenders are always entertaining and go out of their way to make sure you are having a great time!

Caleb's American Kitchen is a BYO New American restaurant helmed by Chef Caleb Lentchner, former executive chef and general manager of New Hope's Marsha Brown.Caleb's American Kitchen menus are inspired by all things American including steaks, burgers, lo
A friend and I had lunch at Caleb's American Kitchen about a week ago. It's a bright, airy, cheery sort of place. We went on a Tuesday, which meant there can be an extra inflow from the Tuesday outdoor market a few miles away. The restaurant also attracts foot traffic from Peddler's Village. They prefer reservations, although it doesn't appear you really need them at lunchtime.I had their version of s Reuben/Monte Christo sandwich. It was round, s knife and fork type of sandwich. It ran $9.00 as I recall. It was quite good. The sandwiches come with potato chips. I don't know if they make their own, They are excellent. One of the major benefits is the BYOB policy on wine. We each brought a bottle with the intent of sending the other home with the unfinished bottle. The staff brought over pairs of wineglasses, no problem. This was a good experience. Service was pretty prompt.
