Reviews on Asian food in Columbus, New Jersey, United States. Columbus is an unincorporated community located within Mansfield Township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08022. Most of Mansfield Township's governmental offices are located in and around Columbus. It is also the main business district in the township with many businesses lining the main roads in the area. It is located at the junction of County Route 543 (which passes east and west through the area) and U.S. Route 206 (US 206) which is a major highway that heads north and south. US 206 originally passed through the center of Columbus on Atlantic Avenue and New York Avenue until it was moved to a short four-lane bypass of downtown in the late 1950s/early 1960s. The old surface route became state-maintained New Jersey Route 170 but became a county-maintained road (Burlington CR 690) in 1986.

Asian House

I ate here last weekend - my second dine-in visit. It was a Saturday night and it never got more than half full. The service was adequate, but just barely. We all shared sushi, sashimi and tempura which was very tasty and presented attractively. It's BYOB, which kept the bill down. Four of us ate heartily for $120, w/o tip - which is about average for our group when having sushi. Some of the things we had were sashimi deluxe, Dragon roll, black Dragon roll, spider roll, Asian House roll, Pink Lady roll and Shrimp tempura. Everything was very tasty. The sushi chef did not speak English but our server translated. I will keep returning.

This restaurant is situated in the most unexpected place in Central Jersey and even many self-claimed foodies don't even know this place. The atmosphere is subpar and the restaurant people/owners are not there to entertain you but the food is just as good as any good local eatery in Japan. Truly a wrong restaurant in a wrong place. If you like Japanese foods more than just sushi, this is a great place.

Food here is decent. Service si friendly and they go out of their way to greet people. The place itself needs to be cleaned up a little. There is now a load of porcelain objects in the from - not sure of they are for sale or just for display. Kind of weird. However, a good cleaning sure wouldn't hurt anything! I really like the combination dinners. The egg rolls here have improved from the past. If you order over a certain amount, they include free chicken on a stick, which is a nice touch. There are a couple of tables, but it is not the place to dine. It's pretty much all takeout.

Recommended by our hotel staff, this was a real crowd pleaser not only in taste but also in variety of options. We chose the build your own dinner which allows one to choose the meats, veggies, and sauce. This was enough for two people.

A full range of authentic Chinese cuisines, from the hot and spicy entrees of the Mandarin, Szechuan and Hunan provinces, to the delicate cuisines of Cantonese province

We were looking forward to the food here based on the reviews but end up severely disappointed. Perhaps its near closing time; the cook was tired or in a hurry... who knows? Maybe we're just an isolated incident since most reviews seemed favorable. Staff/employee was sweeping and tidying the place up an hour before closing but owner still welcomed take-out orders. Ordering process was swift and ready within 10 minutes; tipped 15%. House special lo-mein tasted bland and had exactly 1 shrimp, 2 skinny slivers of roast pork, no beef, a dime-size piece of chicken and 2 shreds of wilted cabbage. I couldn't go past 3 forkfuls. The combination plate came with fried rice so black from overly soy-sauced which made it too salty and unedible. We threw it away. Wonton soup was ok because it was nice and hot but hardly any meat in the wonton.
