Met friends here on a Monday evening. None of us had been here before and reviews were mostly good. Our experience was mediocre at best. The first thing we noticed was the water. It tasted moldy and even though our server replaced it with a pitcher of "filtered" water it still tasted and smelled of mold. We ordered cocktails while we waited for all of the group to arrive and these too were just ok, seemed to be very watery. Maybe too much ice in the shaker. The food was ok, arrived at the table quickly and hot but nothing special or outstanding. Our server did a great job. Will likely not return, there just too many other good restaurants and bars in New Brunswick. We're disappointed to hear you feel this way. If you ever have any concerns while dining with us, please let a member of our staff know immediately. We're always happy to assist. Hope you'll consider giving us another chance to impress you sometime soon. All the best,Esquina Latina Restaurant & Lounge Management

The food is okay Puerto Rican food, a 3 on a 1-5 scale. The service however is horrible. You could sit there forever waiting to be served and they'll just ignore you. They couldn't look any more miserable serving you. Been there 3-4 times. Won't go back because the last 2 times, I waited for 20-30 mins to be served and was just completely ignored while they served other people just walking in, without any consideration for the person sitting in front of them trying to get their attention so I just left. Sad because there aren't a lot of Puerto Rican restaurants around anymore.
The food is excellent, the portions plentiful and their delivery is pretty quick for this area. The Latin Plate is a great option, as you pick your entree and sides and get exactly what you want. The seasoning is perfect and care is taken to make sure you are happy with your order. They even call to let you know they are on their way. Its a nice change from your typical fare in a college town.
Where to eat Italian food in New Brunswick: The Best Restaurants and Bars
There are very few cuisines in the world that satisfy my occasional need for nose running, tear jerking spiciness. Jamaican food is the one! Iâve eaten at many other so called Caribbean restaurants. This one takes the cake. We got the oxtail, curry chicken, both with everything, and spicy beef patties. Curry could have had more kick, but overall we were thrilled and stuffed! Small was big enough for me. I give them a 3 for their service and 4 for the food. The customer service is weak. No friendly smiles, no recommendations or even a "thank you, come againâ as you hand over your money. The portions are generous for an affordable price and the location is convenient. It's a hole in the wall take out joint, but their food really tastes good. The parking is tough since it's in the middle of New Brunswick.
