This is my kind of place to eat at. The owner greets you and describes all his dishes. I wanted everything so I got a Captains deluxe #2 with some New England chowder. The chowder looked great but had NO clam TASTE ! Oh well . I would have liked everything broiled but it only comes fried and was over cooked. The shrimp and scallops were good , the flounder just OK. The clam strips tasted like frozen HoJo's. Gregory claimed his crab cakes were mostly lump crab meat. Well they are NOT US crab meat and have a lot of filler......taste like a frozen Sysco ( a food service provider ) patty. Some people may like the Sysco patty but growing up on the Chesapeake I do know lump MD crab and these are not. The staff were great ! I would go here again but try non fried dishes !

Predominantly fresh seafood, with other comfort food options. Fresh Lemonades hand squeezed daily. Great New England Clam Chowder. All desserts made in house. All made fresh from scratch.
I have driven by this restaurant for a couple of years, without giving it a second thought because of the location. Was finally persuaded to try by friends. Interior ambiance is homey and welcoming, belying its outside appearance. Crusty bread and seasoned butter were served immediately. The menu, which probably changes weekly based on the seafood market, was varied with entrees, sandwiches, and price points. (âNo substitutions,â the menu warns, so be sure you like all the components on the plate.). Our table started with clam chowder, Brie and fruit spread (big enough for the whole table of four) and buffalo cauliflower (also big enough for the whole table). Mains were fish and chips, tuna poke bowl (leftovers for the next dayâyum!) and baked loin of cod. All food was luscious and wonderful! Portions were generous, prices very reasonable for the quality of food. BYOB. Work past any misgivings about the curbside appearance and GO.
Stopped here on the way home from work to meet friends for dinner, a mere one hour before closing time. The restaurant was doing brisk business, both dine-in and takeout. There is limited seating, due to a large counter holding chafing pots for soup (not available when I was there for dinner). Due to it being 7:00pm, the kitchen was out of scallops, but the chef cheerfully allowed substitutions on their fish platter. This being a âfish fryâ restaurant, I ordered the fried platter with clams instead of scallops, and hubby requested calamari instead of scallops. Both of us found the flounder (one feature in the platter) and calamari to be somewhat over cooked. The clams and shrimp were quite good, though. No harm. Next time, Iâll try the cod or broiled platter. This is a decent, local, no frills, fish house.
