As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 26,342, reflecting an increase of 605 (+2.4%) from the 25,737 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 670 (+2.7%) from the 25,067 counted in the 1990 Census. A suburb of New York City, Paramus is located 15 to 20 miles (24 to 32 km) northwest of Midtown Manhattan and approximately 8 miles (13 km) west of Upper Manhattan. In 2013, it was named as a "New Jersey Healthy Town" under the state's Mayor's Wellness Campaign. The Wall Street Journal, has characterized Paramus as the Quintessential Suburb with small town charm.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and had a yearning for some Mexican food. Nice start with a tasty salsa and chips. Got the three different enchiladas and they were good. A nice bowl of brown rice and black beans made a filling tasty lunch. Good overall experience.

We were hungry, and decided to make a pit stop at a Chipotlejoint in Paramus, New Jersey at the Garden State Plaza.The food was really nice.This is one of the few that make a meal according to one's choice.We would recommend this place for Indians, who crave for sometypical Indian items, with a Mexican touch! Vegetables, rice, beans.There is a choice of toppings, and for those not too fond ofvegetarian food, there is quite an extensive non-veg selection as well.One of the best attractions for us was the Guacamoli, which we donot get generally in India, being based on Avocados.The food is fresh, the Guacamoli also made fresh (else this sauceis notorious for going bad quickly!). What more?Salsa, Sour Cream, Guacamoli add-ons: according to one's choiceThere were good servings of everything. The food was served onrecycled paper plates. We discovered that a common order was theBurrito Bowl: Cilantro, lime rice, black/pinto beanssalsa, cheese or sour cream, and Guacamoli.Other things we ordered included tacos and salad, cheese and Quesalidas.There is a special kids' menu which is served with fruit or kids dips and adrink (apple juice or organic milk). Junior is a finicky eater,and now the reader knows why Junior enjoyed himself there!

Midway on a road trip to Rhode Island, we were meeting friends at a prearranged time, at this particular chilies. Thanks to the vagaries of G P S, we were significantly late. Our friends however, seem to be having a delightful time enjoying themselves at the bar until we got there. Upon entering, more than one staff member knew where we were going and with whom we would be dining. We were first escorted them and then happily off to our table.Even though the place was decently busy, we were tended to promptly and left alone just long enough to make our decisions while chatting with each other. The menu at Chilis is always navigable for me and my strange dietary needs and our servers happily helped me juggle the entrees to come up with a dinner I could later be glad that I'd eaten.The food was excellent; I expect that at Chili's and would have been amazed to find it otherwise. (The broccoli cooked to perfection!) But, truly, the best part was the service, attentive, but not overly so, well-acquainted with their offerings, pleasant yet not overly intrusive. We lingered over coffee and dessert and they were fine with it, not hurrying us along.It was a thoroughly pleasant visit!Thanks for being such a loyal customer! We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We will share your feedback with the manager and hope you'll come back and see us!
