Uptown, where everything is glitzy and expensive, this place stands out. It's tiny and it's noisy. It's also excellent. No frills, not too pricey, and outstanding sushi. It's as good as anything in Manhattan, yet affordable and delicious. It's like you are surrounded by normal people just enjoying a good meal at reasonable prices. Good sake menu also. Great choice in this part of town

Once again, it didn't disappoint! I absolutely love this place. I really like that the staff welcomes everyone that walks through the door.This is by far the best Japanese food I've had outside Japan. The pork belly buns are my favorite bite anywhere in NYC. The ramen are also delicious with fresh ingredients. I absolutely recommend not passing on this amazing little gem!

Blue Ribbon is not normally a place you think of when you look for top sushi restaurants in the city but it deserves a spot on that list. Having been there twice this month I can say the food is excellent - high quality fish, good portions and excellent service. The prices are not cheap but you get value in return. The place does get crowded and some areas are very noisy but otherwise this is a great option for a delicious sushi meal.Orrdin, Thanks for recommending Blue Ribbon!
