It was a wet Saturday and traffic was appalling, when we noticed several possible lunch spots in the little Bear Commons. Looking for something a bit healthier than the usual fast food options, we walked in to Mixed Greens and Grill. The initial impression was very positive - it was busy, but the line up went quickly. there are tables, but many customers were ordering take out. The restaurant is set up cafeteria style - a long counter set with a huge array of salad and sandwich fixings, which are assembled in front of the customer. A unique feature is the offer to "chop or toss" the salad. One can build their own, or order from a variety of of salads, and customise at will.We had the turkey sandwiches, which were terrific - and large. We both were only able to finish a half each. Overnight in the motel fridge, and the sandwiches were still delicious for a second lunch.Various soups and drinks are available, although there was no coffee...bummer. The staff behind the counter were very helpful.We were very impressed by the concept of the restaurant - I'm certain that it could definitely be a very successful franchise. Please start one near us!

I'm a fan. This location looks almost identical to their Freehold location but a tad smaller. There are three high top tables, a few couches and some bar seating by the window. The tables have USB outlets next to them to charge for devices. Just like their other location...if you're in a rush order ahead. Everything is freshly prepared so the bowls and smoothies take a little while to make. Love having a great option even closer to home to get my fruit fix.Thank you for this Review!!! The staff was friendly and everything looked nice but the food was just ok. There wasn't much meat and you can get more food at a similar place for cheaper.
