Came for lunch, their specials are very reasonable for the amount of food you get and the service is excellent. Have not come back in for dinner for awhile, I find the dinner the same size as the lunch but they charge so much more that I think they should adjust either the serving size or the price a little. I have also had the salmon over salad on another trip also was very good.

We came here to celebrate both of my parents' birthdays. Overall, they've got a big menu with lots of good choices, the service is friendly, and most importantly, the food was really good!We started with buttermilk fried calamari and corn nuggets - both were fried just right and flavorful. I'm a sucker for both of these foods and they delivered. For my main meal, I got the Cajun Chicken Caesar Salad. Also very tasty - the chicken was cooked right and there were no weird pieces like you sometimes get in salads. It was a good sized portion, and I left full. I also tried my Mom's "Cowboy Wrap", which was roast beef along sauteed mushrooms and onions - I thought it tasted really good as well. Everyone was happy with their meals. We had a great experience and I'd say we'll definitely be back.

There is something for everyone on this menu. We were told that they have a new chef and he really came through for us. The Duck was excellent, I'm told the Scallops and Fish Special were great as well. If you tried this before and were disappointed, give it another go. You won't be disappointed!

If our group of eight tried to have lunch at La Dolce Vita a few weeks earlier we would still be waiting. With the temperatures in the eighties and the crowds long gone, we were seated immediately by a wonderful hostess and our waiter greeted us with warm bread and olive oil. The lunch menu was very balanced and priced well. Nice selection of beers on tap and a huge wine list. All our meals were served as ordered, hot and together. Would definitely return and try dinner as well as recommend to others.

Made reservation day of our visit. My first inquiry resulted in a we are full tonight but when I said we were disappointed they were full the reservation person said hold on a minute I think weâve had a cancellation, Iâll be right back to you. Sure enough we were able to get a reservation but advised that we would need to vacate the table after an hour and 45 minutes. No problem. Drinks and Bergerâs were very good and we were on our way in the allotted time. Thanks for fitting us in.

The Iron Whale, located on the Boardwalk in Asbury Park, features a rustic, yet contemporary design in the spirit of seafarers, with prominent reclaimed wood, ropes, and gas lanterns. The menu features inventive takes on seafood and it also includes a wid
Cheerful greeting and prompt seating with boardwalk/ocean views from most tables (outdoor boardwalk option in season). Good bar. We shared a good New England chowder and ordered lunch from a tight menu with something for most tastes, from a frittata to burgers and salads. Enjoyable setting, food and service. Only few hundred feet south of the Asbury Convention Hall makes it a pick before or after events.

Decided to try BR for a late dinner Friday nite. We got seats at the bar across from the barware wash station.First, we ordered glasses of wine, and after ordering, and waiting for 25 minutes, we had to ask to be served again. Our bartender was busy texting, and never brought us the glasses of ice water, we asked another bartender. We noticed 3 bartenders, just standing around and not clearing the counters around us, and then the barware continued piling up. There was no more room for the servers to drop off dirty glasses. There were at least 3 people who looked in the washer, which was empty, but never loaded it. Finally a tall guy shows up and begins to load the glassware. You could tell he did not want to be there. A manager finally came over and addressed the situation, and now the mess begins. The washer would place clean glasses amongst the dirty glasses. Another guy appeared and proceeds to place dirty and clean glasses in the overhead holder to make room on the counter. We were not the only ones who noticed. We then watched as the washer would reload clean glasses, without even checking. The food was then served and prepared incorrectly, and at this point we wanted to leave, as we had lost our appetite. We have crossed this place off our list, and there are plenty of options elsewhere.

Every time I have visited Ocean Grove, I have eaten here. It's a little pricey, but worth the excellent food and lovely ambiance, whether outside or in, with the lovely fish tank...

Beachside restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating, serving breakfast, lunch and a more upscale yet casual, gourmet dinner experience.
Went here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant on the Avon Boardwalk that serves a great seafood dinner! Most boardwalk restaurants offer typical boardwalk fast food, this is not one of the those places!First of all it is located inside the Avon Beach Pavilion on the boardwalk with absolutely great ocean and beach views!Second of all, the food is fantastic without being pretentious! We shared their sangria marinated watermelon salad which was refreshing and savoury! For my main course I had the flounder sole franchise with linguine, delicious! The staff is professional, friendly and attentive.Lastly, as mentioned earlier, the ambiance of the surf and beach adds tremendously to the experience!Only a couple minor dings. First it is a BYOB establishment and they do not advertise that on their website, but easily rectified by a quick drive to Bradley Beach for wine or beer. Secondly, they do not accept reservations. It is a first come a first come, first on the list for the restaurant: which is a testament to their service and food! Lastly, they are only a seasonal establishment opening on Motherâs Day and closing the week after Labour Day.Great experience and hope to return this weekend.Thumbs up!
