Hilltop Tavern is your typical local "dive bar", but with a twist. Monday nights are open jam night and many of our local talent show up to play. Friday and Saturday nights there is usually a band that plays, but Sundays, from 4-7pm. is the best time for me. Scott, our friendly bartender is the booking agent for Hilltop and he gets fabulous acoustic bands for Sundays! The bar menu is limited and it is a CASH ONLY place, but they do have an ATM inside. Everyone who comes for the first time is always welcomed. It's our answer to the bar at "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. What could be better than a glass of wine(ladies) or beer(men)?

Had a late night dinner there on a Friday night. We had to be the oldest people there but we can hang with the 20 year olds. The music was really loud but we didn't mind since it was music we actually do like. I had the bolognese. My husband had salmon tacos (the menu said mini and they were very small). He ended up eating some of my pasta. Our waiter was great. ! He was attentive without being over attentive. He did go out of his way to try to get a certain football game on the TV. He was successful. What is really good here is there beer selection. They have great craft beers especially Funky Buddha which is hard to find in the Northeast. I also had a strawberry martini which was amazing not too sweet just right. We would definitely go back again. Next time maybe a little earlier at night.

If you're looking for a dive with good bar food and about 75 TV's then you'll be in heaven, for Miller's is exactly what it should be. Don't look for any fancy food or wines. I ordered a salad which lettuce, apples, grapes and nuts. Would have been better with more dressing and less brown lettuce. But stick with the burgers and fried foods--they appeared to be better.

The space and service was great. The food though was average... overall lacking in flavor. We were there as part of a large party and the space and service they gave us was very nice. I was traveling through Bergen County and found this place in Saddle Brook.What a great place. If you like different beers this place is for you great nosh, great beer, wonderful service. Our server Matthew was extremely knowledgeable in suggesting which beer we might like to drink. I had a salad, my husband had a flatbread pizza. It was just delicious. If you're in the area, it's definitely a place to check out.

I went to the Dog & Cask for lunch the other day wanting to try it as I had passed it about a hundred times on the way home. I am not much of a craft beer person but I needed a burger really badly and decided to stop and try it out.First, the place is nicely decorated in all dark colors and they have a nice bar area up front. It was not very crowded for lunch so I ate at the bar. The bartender looked like someone who should work there, a real hipster-beer making type who was extremely laid back for someone waiting on people. It was quiet so he spent a lot of his time looking at his cell phone. In fact, his eyes were glued to it most of the time.The food and the service are very good. The burger was delicious. It had a salty caramelized outside and was perfectly cooked medium-well with cheddar cheese and bacon. The fries were hand-cut and cooked to perfectly. They were a little salty but still really good. The quality of their food is great but the emphasis is on beer which I do not drink, so I just had a Coke which did get me a look from the bartender.Overall it was a nice lunch but I would not make a special trip there unless you like craft beer which they have an extensive menu of and their prices for a meal are a little expensive for the surrounding area. It is a nice place if you like going to the bar for a drink.

Our party had leak and potato soup, salad, chicken francaise, salmon with mustard sauce, and beef tips. The dessert was apple crisp. Everything was very good, and the portions were enough for big eaters. The service was excellent. We will definitely return!
