Very good Irish/ steakhouse grill menu, good beer and wine selection. Not over-the-top Irish theme place, but attractive setting, good service, and attentive cooking. Weâve been here many times and liked it.

Went there with 5 others for an evening out . We had made reservations in advance as the place gets a bit crazy on Fridays ! We had an assortment of appetizers to go with a variety of drinks we had ordered . The server was friendly , polite and always available without being overbearing . The place is not too loud so you can actually have a conversation too :).Do try it out to catch up and wind down with friends ! PS do not think I would go there for a date night though !Thx so much for the kind words. Hope to see you again soon. PS. We've actually had many Rosie's first dates turn into weddings down the road too.

Made my wife and I feel like regulars on our very first visit. The service is absolutely fantastic. When the bell rings in the kitchen, the staff takes off to make sure the food is delivered hot and fresh. Being a beer guy, one of the primary things that caught my eye is that fact that they have about 36 craft beers on tap. You will have to ask for the beer menu because their are new ones up all the time. Alternatively, I just found out that they update the beer list on their facebook page. Love it!

Yes, not impressed. Manager is rude, and food is just OK. Service could have been ok if the kitchen could have handled the orders correctly. As soon as we entered we knew we were in a bar where lots of people had lots of good times over the years and I am sure people still have lots of fun there. It has a long, curved wooden bar with plenty of stools. A modern touch is the addition of 6 or seven flat screen TV's all turned to different sports but not at all obtrusive. There are tables and chairs with enough seating for about thirty customers. The place is immaculate and there are even a few picnic tables out back if that's your thing. The menu is a pretty typical bar kind of fare but daily specials are posted on a blackboard. When we went it was steamed little neck clams. We orders burgers and fries and a couple of drinks. They were very good and just perfect for a mid-afternoon lunch. The bartender was very attentive and nice. She was extremely helpful and friendly. This was our second visit although we only stopped by for a drink the first time just to check it out. Glad we went back to try the food. We will definitely go back. I'm sure the place is a fun bar at night full of locals. It's right off Exit 136 of the Garden State Parkway.
From the outside you would not know that you will have an excellent meal. It is small and so is the kitchen, but only the freshest ingredients are used. There are weekly specials and my favorite is the prime rib! Friendly staff.

The Thirsty Turtle has great bar food and also some culinary dishes you wouldn't expect in a pub. But the last times I've visited were strictly for happy hour before a movie. For happy hour, I LOVE their soft pretzels...the best around! And their chicken wings are good, too. The bar area waitress remembers me now, and immediately asks if I want a pinot grigio. It's that kind of service that makes me want to go back.

Classic American Tavern with a rich list of Seasonal Food, Fine Ales, Spirits and Wines. In business for over 67 years, we never rest on our laurels. Charming dining spaces, spacious bars and an unrivaled Patio Dining area in the Spring and Summer.
This place lives on its reputation, but the food is not great. Easy to review this place:Apps-I do not even get the port bun sandwich. What is it supposed to be? Two buns with almost nothing in it, and charge a lot for it. Calamari app was the best dish of the night, and it barely would pass as a decent app.Pizza- put sauce and cheese on a flour taco shell, and charge a lot. It really was bad. Two pizzas were both sad versions.Rueben-Extremely sad version of a Rueben. No cole slaw, skimpy on everything else. Skinniest Reuben I have ever had.Service was not good. The young guy would not even check on us. We had to stand up and flag him down to get his attention. When we were almost done, he decides to bring out an app that he forgot to bring. In fact, we were only half way done with the apps when they brought out the main courses. Ridiculous. They were putting dishes on the table next to us to fit everything. Again, service was terrible. To My Followers:Give this place a miss. It truly does not deserve your patronage. Any decent owner would shut this place down.

Had lunch here for the first time today. What a friendly atmosphere! The owner was chatting with everyone -he was terrific in making sure we had everything we needed. Our server was wonderful too. The menu offers everything from traditional Irish dishes to sandwiches and salads. The chicken pot pie was delicious (and the lunch portion was abundant). The "super salad" was filled with fresh mozzarella and breaded chicken in addition to fresh veggies, dried fruit and lettuce. Also tried the "spicy chicken" sandwich, which was delicious and served with a very generous portion of French fries. A great place to try if you are in the area, for sure. I would recommend highly.
