Dunellen is tiny borough in central NJ.There is nothing worth mentining about this this borough except the beautiful, large old time houses on South Washington avenue. In the past decade, a good number of Latinos have moved in there and as as result, shops and small eateries catering to them have comeup. However, the atmospher in and around is such that you won't feel comfortable going to these. Therefore, although had seen this place literally hundreds of time and wanted to give it a try, I never went beyond thinking.Last Friday, it was very heavily raining and therefore instead of going far, I decided to give this place a try.We were greeted nicely. The waiter was also courteous and friendly. The food was average, nothing out of the box .Also, this is a BYOB place.Thank you for your review.

I was all excited for the newest edition to South Plainfield's growing restaurant trend. I love Mexican, and had high hopes for this restaurant. It was packed when we first came in and currently they are BYOB, with hopes to open a bar in the future. The waitress took some time to take our drink orders, but the drinks came out fast. The food however took a lot longer. We were told they were backed up. It was a Sunday night (not sure why they would be surprised to be busy on a Sunday). The food smelled wonderful and the chips and salsa on the table were tasty. I'm basing my Mexican taste from past dinners from my Sister-in-laws Mexican In-Laws. I'd have to say that for a Mexican restaurant the beans were a huge disappointment along with the rice. My meat was seasoned very well and tasted great. The homemade tortilla were good to. Price wise they were ok. They just need to improve on their timing and season the beans better.

We came for dinner, I wanted to try this relatively new restaurant. the service was slow and spotty. It didn't look that the stuff was well trained to handle the size of this restaurant. The food was OK, when your salad is 90% lettuce, no other vegetables are visible you need to make it better.I hope they will improve, it will be nice to have a good Mexican restaurant in this location.

Very limited draft beer selection. Sat at the bar and it took a while before I was greeted. Once I was acknowledged the service did improve. Donât care much for the atmosphere â especially the music. Instead of hearing more traditional Mexican music, had to listen to more modern Mexican music that I did not care for. The menu has a good selection of Mexican dishes. The soup was excellent, I ordered a cup and it was what a bowl would be at other restaurants. I also ordered enchiladas that came with a choice of two sides. Again â good portion. Delicious food. Did not leave feeling hungry at all.

We use to visit Taco bell few years back but stopped going as we were informed that they use beef powder in the seasoning. So as a vegetarian we stopped eating at Taco-bell. Recently we were informed that they have vegetarian menu so we decided to give a try after many years. Menu was complicated and with a very small print which can mislead any customer. We ordered box of 10 tacos WITHOUT BEEF/MEAT and only beans which was $11.59 ( so only a shell and tsp beans is a taco, haha that's funny ) but than they charged $6 more just to put some lettuce, tomato and sour cream. When we got the tray and started to eat, more than half of the Taco shell was empty and it had very little beans, barely any sour cream and little pieces of lettuce-tomato. To pay about $ 18/- Plus Tax for just a bite-full of tacos is not worth. This review is for the location I visited and I don't know how they fill the tacos in the other locations. For my family it was disappointment and we will not return again instead can go for Chipotle or Subway any time where we can pay resonable price for the good food.

We were looking forward to trying Los Primos Romero for some time and finally had the opportunity to do so - and Los Primos Romero did not disappoint. Tacos, Tortas, Fajitas, Burritos, Enchiladas, Tostadas, Quesadillas and more. They seem to have it all.We ordered a selection of meals for take-out and to share around the table. Everything we ordered was good. From phone to table, our order was packaged well, traveled well, and was ready faster than we expected. Our first visit was a great success and we are looking forward to going back.

Between officiating baseball games, my wife ordered me takeout. The food was good and the flavors were average. The food did not "wow" me but served the purpose to neurus me between games. While I cannot comment on the atmosphere or service, there were no comments made by my wife so I assume all went well. This restaurant seems to good for fast food. Hope you find a similar pleasant experience.
