I have friends of the hispanic decent and met them here at the restaurant. After much prodding, they had be try some of the food they were eating which tasted better than i was afraid of. I would recommend this place to my friends in the area.

The waitress made an error. But first let me write about the excellent overviews. The food was indeed excellent! Both my daughter's entrée and mine were "on-the-money". Plentiful, and tasteful, and the presentation was wonderful. The restaurant is spacious with two eating areas. Now the problem. The waitress came over in short time, and as standard practice in all restaurants, took our drink order while we reviewed the menu. She took our order without writing it down. I found it unorthodox, but OK. We then waited, and waited until I gestured to the "man" behind the counter since I did not see our waitress. In do time she arrived with our entrees. WITHOUT the soup! Her response was that she put in the order. Of course I told her to forgetaboutit. (this is a word now) I guess when you don't write an order down you forget. Yes. I will return.

Everything has changed. We were seated right away, no problem there. The service was excellent, however, the food is not what it use to be. Did not enjoy it at all, which is surprising for this place. Will not return even though it is not expensive, too many other Italian restaurants in the area to go to enjoy the food. This is a shame.

Lovely byob to have a delicious meal for a decent price! The restaurant is tight and loud but if you donât mind that the food is top notch. Be sure to get a reservation because the place fills up quick.

We had dinner and drinks at the bar. The bartenders, Erica and Karmen, were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The service was fantastic - we didn't feel rushed and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We highly recommend this restaurant for the atmosphere, food, and service.

You can try other places,as I have,but Manville pizza is still the best around.I have been going there for over 20 years.Between 2-4 times a month.Always a lot to choose from which makes it easy for quick take out.Nice looking clean pizzeria you have to try!

Have been here many times and eaten many of their items. Pizza, hot subs, calamari, mussels, chili - all spot on. This last trip we had cajun chicken salad and the eggplant roll. Lots of chicken in a big salad. Eggplant roll was kind of like a calzone, but open on the ends. Again, very good eating.

We always have our business dinners here because the food is fresh and well prepared, and everyone leaves happy.Everyone enjoyed their dinner, only one complaint that the swordfish special was a tad dry.Don't forget your wine it's a BYOB and you should reserve it is always busy. I will return and recommend.

It had been over 35 years since we had visited our hometown. So, ironically, this iconic Somerville restaurant was "new" to us. Thanks to TA, we quickly decided this was the place for us (it didn't hurt that my namesake is Fillipo, after my grandfather).. Little did we know it was BYOB but fate was on our side as we happened to have a bottle of Valpolicella in the car. As is our typical fare, we shared a 4 course meal of bruschetta, arugula salad, risotto (the half-portions were huge!), and a perfectly prepared yellow perch. Service was outstanding and well paced, of course. We met all the GC's (who wished us a good evening) and thoroughly enjoyed an authentic evening in Italy. Molto Bene!!
