2019 Eataly at World Trade Center, NYCWe were happily surprised when we found Eataly being in the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center. We were familiar with the Eataly on the corner of W24th street and 5th Avenue. The restaurant is inviting. There are a number of sections that you can actually dine. Luckily, we were early for lunch. We waited for a table along the window. There are commanding views of the World Trade Center Plaza and Fountains. An original fire-engine on 9/11 is directly down on the ground floor. The ambiance is both sad and peaceful to say the least. The service is friendly. What we found, though, it was hard to get the waiter to come over to our table after serving the food. These waiters have too many tables to serve. My wife and I had draft beers. We split a cheese pizza made with Blue Cheese. We had asked for âwell-done,â but it missed the mark. Then, too, there wasnât enough Blue Cheese. Next time we will remedy the situation with a âpreciseâ order. We visited again ten weeks later. My wife had the âchicken salad.â She did not enjoy this as much. I had the âMussels and Shrimp.â For a dish that is $25 it had seven mussels and the few shrimps were medium to small in size. I had to ask our waiter for cheese. The first visit we were overwhelmed with the ambiance of the eatery. The second visit we realized that the prices reflect this ambiance. The food is marginal at best. The name âEatalyâ is what attracts people.

With roots in the South-West of France, Cocotte is a Bistro-Nomique restaurant, blending Basque, French, and Spanish cuisines with gastronomic attention to detail in a passionate bistro atmosphere, proudly ranked in the top 10 Best French Restaurants in M
The other reviewers are spot on! The champignons farcis were plentiful and a great start to a wonderful meal. The moules gratinées were small but tasty. We shared the chicken, fish and beef entrees - one was better than the other! Inventive and unique. The service was very attentive, but not intrusive. The basement space is small and filled with customers, but conversation was easy and the atmosphere was festive. Everyone in our party left with smiles on our faces.

We had dinner on a Wednesday. The food was tasty; the prices were reasonable: the location is convenient to the theater district. The noise level was so loud that we could not hear each other speak. I recommend going to this restaurant at an off hour.

This is a tiny place on Prince Street. It can be a little noisy with everyone being seated very close to each other, but it's tolerable. We had bruschette for an appetizer. It was the classic version with olive oil and tomatoes and was awesome. Three of us had lasagna, and the fourth person had penne with tomato sauce and basil. They have a lava cake that isn't on the menu, and the two who had it were fans. All of the food was excellent. Reservations have to be made a month in advance and are recommended. However, there were a few folks who came without reservations after 8 p.m. who were able to be seated. Prices are pretty low for food of this quality.

Opened December of 2010 in Historic Paulus Hook of Downtown Jersey City. Satis Bistro is a European Cafe, Wine Bar and Salumeria
This restaurant is delicious and while a little pricier than other places in town, almost always worth it. I say "almost always" because they sadly took the kale pesto pasta dish off the menu, which was my and my friend's favorite. It was literally magic: We both ordered it for the first time together, and on first bite we both looked at one another and declared it the best pasta we'd ever had in both our lives. We returned like clockwork at least once a month to treat ourselves, until sadly this fall they took it off the menu--which makes no sense, since it wasn't a seasonal item, and other, less inspiring dishes, are allowed to be staples on the menu. So if you have a chance to try the kale pesto pasta, it very possibly will change your life for the better. If it's not on the menu, it's still a good restaurant to try, but I wouldn't go out of your way to go. I personally haven't been back again, but I'm always checking the menu to see if the pasta is available.
