I have been here at least 10 times but have not written a review. I don't live close, but fly out of Newark Airport regularly, and this is just 10 minutes away, great for a meal before or after travel. You might be afraid of Newark, but this restaurant is in the Ironbound district of the city, and seems a bit safer. There are a lot of Portuguese and Brazilian residents of this area too (not connecting ethnicity to safety though). The restaurant has its own parking area, and I have never felt concerned about leaving luggage in the car while there. Both Brazilians and non-Brazilians come here, and I have met many who are repeat customers. Boi Na Brasa is such a great place because it combines a great atmosphere with great food and reasonable prices. There are all your Brazilian favorites on a very extensive menu, and the servings are large. The staff is Brazilian. You can dine formally in the dining room, where they accommodate small or large groups, but I often prefer dining in the front bar/café area, especially if I am alone. The sausage with yucca appetizer and shrimp in garlic sauce appetizers are incredible, and are good for 2-3 people to share before a meal. The picanha steak, and moqueca fish dish are genuine. All come with salad bar. You can also get the limitless rodizio style of meat service if you wish. Enjoy!

This restaurant is great for special events and meals with friends, yet equally comfortable to take a seat alone at the cute bar and have a pot of fresh cockles with plenty of fresh bread to dip in the sauce! The plates are huge and great for sharing! While I am not a meat-eater, friends rave about the selection and quality! The hardest choice for me is red or white sangria!

We went for Mother's Day (place did not have much traffic). We waited 30 minutes to sit despite having reservations. Waited another 45 minutes to eat after placing our order (people next to us were eating after 20 minutes and we had the same amount of people at table 4). We had to ask for water. I knew in my gut it wasn't a good sign when the waiter got annoyed when we asked for water lol. The waitress that was helping out rolled her eyes when my husband asked where our food was. I offered to pay the sodas we drank and leave as it had been 45 minutes but a waiter assured me that the food was coming. They served all of us except my husband (kind of made me think they did it on purpose as we were done and he was still waiting. ) You can guess that this did not sit well. Finally we had to wait another 45 minutes to pay the check. Yes 45 minutes. I stood by the register and everyone pretended not to see me. Was a crazy Mother's Day considering this place was not busy.$100 down the drain and most of the food was left on the table.

During a short stay in Newark, a good ole' friend recommended this place and it was it was an excellent choice! AWESOME service, great atmosphere, good prices and the food was pretty good as well! The Caipirinhas were off the hook, music was a bit too loud, but it was part of the vibe! Great night to remember and Mr. Adams helped a lot!

This is a small hamburger place down neck in Newark. Parking is somewhat of challenge. Burgers are very good and pretty big. For $6 or $7, you get a really nice size burger with plenty of toppings. Beef empanadas were excellent, chicken was ok. Dining area only has a few tables. Overall, really good burgers at a reasonable price.

This place came highly recommended and I know not to trust that person again. We were seated quickly and they brought cold bread to the table. The waiter brought us tea and water and then disappeared. The person bringing meats (we got the RodÃzio) was very attentive but all of the meat was over cooked (burnt/charred/dry). We had to ask for the waiter to get a refill on tea and water as he never came by the table again. When we were finished we had to ask someone to get a bill because again the waiter was no where to be found. There were lots of wait staff congregating around together so I know they had sufficient staffing. The food wasn't very good and as I said neither was the service. Next time McDonald's would be a better choice.
