This place has been around for ages, why it took me so long to stop in I'll never understand. The place is very old-school but with some very new touches like their draft beer collection, flat-screen TV's and a menu that is anything but run-of-the-mill, especially the daily specials. And...Pizza? Just amazing. Not a leftover in sight, and if you have a taste for beer - DO have the Sunnyside's draft!

Always see cars outside and have always wanted to go here....So... last week we made the move for dinner. Parking was tight. They seated us maybe 10 minutes after a brief wait at the bar. We had a decent seat looking out the front window towards the water. Place was mobbed and so loud that you couldn't talk. They had some kind of funky techno weird annoying music playing WAY too loud... Specials were written on a chalkboard on a side wall, but not handed to you when you sat down... If you weren't seating near that wall, you couldn't see them at all... which was the case for us.Our table was gross sticky... I asked out waiter to PLEASE wipe it down since I didn't want to touch it! He replied to say the table was clean but that the front tables by the window have some kind of funky clearcoat that gets sticky from the sun! What???It was gross and I wasn't sure if I believed that or not... in any event, It almost ruined my dining experience since I didn't even want to put an elbow on that tacky table, but I believed himMy man wanted steak so he ordered the most expensive "sizzling" steak they had on the menu and I had fish and chips. We had wings as an appetizer and they were ok... very hot, but presentation was great! His steak came and was NOT sizzling at all....and was on an severely undersized black iron plate.. Had 2 polenta wedges on top that were blah with very little taste, again nice presentation but meat was tough and very difficult to cut on that tiny plate..My fish and chips were good!! lolWe each had 2 drinks... bill was easy $100.On our way out, the place had cleared out quite a bit and I couldn't help myself but had to go and touch the other table tops in front of the window that supposedly were also tacky from the clearcoat sun issue........... They were NOT tacky!I was so grossed out since I knew our table was just dirty...Too bad........... The dirty, sticky table ruined our dinner experience here as well as that annoying loud music--Won't be going back :(

Waited for a table outside, first come first serve. When it was our turn, we were seated in the back. We asked to be moved to an empty table closer to the water but was told we couldn't (People that took that seat came in after us). My husband had a very weak drink at the bar and asked that the next be a little stronger. It wasn't. My Reuben's bread was mini sized, not covering 1/8th of the corned beef. Our waitress came by only once and asked how my hamburger was (I had a Reuben). She never came by to ask if we needed anything (my drink was clearly empty). Best part was the view.Thank you for taking the time to let us know about our shortcomings on your visit. I apologize for your experience as we are working on getting the kinks out as the summer season started this weekend. Hopefully you give us a chance to redeem ourselves. Much appreciated.

They service is dismal at best. The pizza comes out of the kitchen cold after waiting 45 minutes or more. Owners must be laundering money from elsewhere because this place should have closed after last summer. Food is otherwise decent. Service is what you expect from middle school kids.

I just posted a review of Characters, but it was accidentally inserted into the section on Rhodes Tavern in Sloatsburg. Ooops!! Help, please!!
I have eaten at this restaurant many times but the other night we ordered two Corn beef and cabbage sandwiches. They were awful, dry , not a lot of either corned beef or cabbage. It seemed they covered it up with a lot of French fries which were not very tasteful. I have to say only bad meal I had there in years. Must have been a bad night

Stopped in because it was close to the hotel and serving food a little later. We ended up just getting nachos to share. They were alright. Nothing to write home about. Staff were ok. Friendly enough. The place felt a bit run down. Prices seemed a little on the high side for the type of place it is. I suppose if you were coming for drinks and the game this place would be ok!

A terrific selection of BBQ meats, including pork, beef, and chicken. Also shrimp, turkey, and a whole slew of vegetables and great side dishes. The portions are large, the selection includes platters, sandwiches, and a bunch of salads (with meat of course!). One nice aspect is that you can order just a meat dish, and yes/no as to sides. Parking is tight, but doable. There are daily specials, including a Monday all you can eat buffet.

Family friendly restaurant with a full service bar, a wide range of dining choices and service with a smile.
Large, with colorful atmosphere. Numerous tv's in the bar area, but quiet enough in the dining area to have a conversation. Food was very good, and lots of appealing and reasonably priced choices.

Besides having the nicest waiters/waitresses on the planet, the food at Rhodes is particularly fresh and delicious. I recommend the pancakes for Sunday Brunch. I like blueberries in my blueberry pancakes and they never disappoint. Nice fluffy cakes filled with handfuls of fresh berries! Add some hot coffee and their sausages and you can't ask for a better Sunday Brunch.
