Amalfis Restaurant and Bar continues to impress me in their continue improving service, food presentation, and tastiness of their meals. Slight changes to meal orders are ok, and presented in rapid time. Our servicer was patient, we took a little while to select our meal, and was pleasant.I had a hamburger with bacon, lettuce , onion, tomato with lettuce and fried egg. Unbelievably good tasting. Dinner pricing is a bit high but sandwich prices are reasonable. Lot's of parking is available and a large oval bar with lots of TV's for sports enthusiasts.

Okay place to grab some drinks & appetizers. We reached just as they started happy hour and had half-price on quite a number of drinks and appetizers. We had the firecracker shrimp, chicken quesadillas, tostones, jibaritos, coconut shrimp & chicken wings. None of theM felt particularly Caribbean- all blend with little bite, but they had Tabasco sauce which helped. We were seated in the bar area and service was so-so. They took the initial order right away, but slowed down quite a bit for refills even though only 5-6 tables were occupied. Average experience.

Wonton taco is very good. Red apple sangria is $4 on Saturdays . We thought we try to arrive early to beat the traffic. We got there at 6 pm and the place is packed with families, sports teams and other locals. The menu is very elaborated. The waitress is very cheerful and professional. We had a great time . Will be back for their happy hours specials for sure.

The weather was lovely so we elected to eat outside. We were a party of four and we each ordered different items. The butterfish, mahi mahi, short ribs and pasta with vodka sauce were all delicious. The only disappointment was the banana cream pie for my dessert.

Our server was great. Very attentive and funny wish I could remember his name. Our food was really good everything came out warm and tasty. The garlic bread was really good and actually had enough garlic on it! Dinner salads were OK. The entrees for our group were all good. Desserts good.Prices a bit high for the area.

One point of aggression that I found very frustrating is that we intentionally met at 5 PM to enjoy their reasonably priced happy hour and still we treating 9 guests to dinner with our table reservationâso they knew they would make their money from us. But the waiter refused to serve us the Happy Hour drink specials at our table and said it was for bar service only. We said okayâweâll order our 3 drinks at the bar but want to bring them to the table since we are hosting six guests and want to be at our table when they arrive. The waiter said that would not be allowed. If the drink is ordered at the bar it must be consumed at the bar, not taken to a dining table. So then he proceeded to talk my colleagues into expensive glasses of wine from the non-Happy Hour menu. In a spirit of priests, I waited until Happy Hour was over before ordering my full price wine. UGH!The food was okay. The tuna avocado martini smelled fishy and a few of our guests tried a bite but that appetizer went pretty much uneaten. The bread was a decent sourdough, but when the basket ran out no one refilled it. That said, my entree of beef short ribs was fantastic! Heavy with the mashed potatoes, but really tender, not fatty, and super flavorful. So a 2 for service and a 4 for foodâquality varied by what people ordered.

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.
A group of our friends get together throughout the year to celebrate each others birthdays. Houlihan's, centrally located near the Quakerbridge Mall, has time & again been chosen for our celebrations, our group happy with its consistently well-prepared food & its friendly, professional table service. One small gripe: their table reservation policy - only available for parties of 8 or more people. We had a party of 7 - which takes up the same amount of table space as for a party of 8. While, on arrival, we had no problem getting a table for our group, the policy still puzzles. Nevertheless, lunch was plentiful & tasty. My husband enjoyed his Grilled Salmon (cooked to a perfect turn) & I enjoyed my favorite Houlihan lunch option - Chicken/Broccoli Quiche with a Caesar Salad. Good food, good friends, good time.Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit with us! (We will review your comments about our reservation policy.) Thanks for the feedback, and we look forward to serving you again soon. - Ag

Sometimes a server is the difference - maker in a dining experience. Last Saturday night our server introduced herself as "T." We asked what T stood and she explained (and spelled) that her name is Tereccia. We said the T was for terrific because she provided outstanding service with a warm and friendly personality. The food at Bonefish was, as expected, also outstanding. I usually have their Salmon which is always fresh and perfectly prepared, but this time I went for the Atlantic Haddock, a nightly special. I had it blackened with my favorite topping, mango salsa. It came with two sides --- I opted for the string beans and coleslaw. Perfect. We arrived around 6:15, just before the end of happy hour and so I was able to have a martini for something like $8.50. I like that the happy hour prices extend to the dining area as well.We had a chance to meet and talk with Dan, the managing partner and a great guy.. He was, of course, pleased to hear about T and her great service.
