My wife and I arenât huge chicken wings fans, but we absolutely love the wings at this long-time Cape May bar and grill blocks away from the crowded Washington Street mall. When we do get wings, theyâre boneless, but at C-View, we get them with the bone because the staff says theyâre tastier (the wings, not the staff). We wonât argue â the wings are super meaty, and the skin is perfectly crispy. Since it was Taco/Pizza Tuesday, I gobbled down a $1 hard-shell taco ($1.50 for soft shell) and most of a large pizza ($5.50 plus $1 to cover it with pepperoni), washed down with a glass of Blue Moon from the tap. My wife savored a prime rib sandwich and took some home for a snack. The pizza crust tasted like a frozen variety, but everything else was great, and the menu has something for every appetite, from fish and chips and crab cakes to cheesesteaks and burgers to kielbasa sandwiches and chicken parm. Prices are very reasonable, the staff is super friendly, and the setting is old-school relaxed.

This is a very noisy, cramped, dark and worn restaurant. However the food here is very good. If you can tolerate the ambiance then I definitely recommend this place.

"The Nail," as it's known by the locals, is the famed iconic surfer bar and restaurant that made a name for itself in the '70s. And it's right here at the Beach Shack, just steps away from your room. From lifeguards and surfers to beautiful beach bunnies,
We have been going to the Rusty Nail for almost 20 years. I love the place. Its location canât be beat and the ambience is perfect beach, especially now with the outdoor seating. It is a prefect place to grab lunch on a nice summer day. I wish I could say âquickâ lunch, but the service is inconsistent; sometimes great, sometimes awful. I also wish I could say great food, but that is also not consistent. We waited for our barely edible lunch for 40 min recently. I will say the salad was delicious, fresh, clean and a good mix of veggies. The clam strips had NO flavor and the clams casino had so much cheese on them (is that even an ingredient in clams casino?) you couldnât taste the clams. Even with all that, I know weâll be back. I just wish the service and food could be better.

Nice restaurant directly across the beach. Tiny parking lot. Very clean. Super waitstaff. DJ on weekend-fun. Their hanger steak is outrageously AMAZING. Good wine list. Never had a bad dish here. Love their cheesecake. We eat dinner where every single time we come to Cape May.

After taking the Trolley Tour and visiting the Emlen Physick Home, our group of friends split into two groups for lunch at Delaneyâs Irish Pub. Our server was friendly and attentive. She had no problem splitting checks. I chose the Stuffed Tomato with tuna and couldnât believe how big it was! Not only that, but it also had strawberries, orange slices, grapes, on a bed of lettuce! Others had clams and were pleased with them. A good place to gather friends, chat and have a pleasant lunch.

A friend recommended Lucky Bones for their pizza. It is thin crusted cooked in a wood fired oven and is delicious. We had a traditional pizza and a mushroom pizza, both amazing. The mushrooms were fresh and perfectly roasted. The Manhattan clam chowder was the best I ever had with a nice subtle smoky favor. In a beach town where many restaurants are overpriced with average food this place is a gem.

The Blue Pig Tavern serves American cuisine-nostalgic, simple and fresh. Executive Chef Jeremy Einhorn has implemented a delicious farm-to-table menu featuring fresh produce, herbs and eggs from our very own Beach Plum Farm, located less than 2 miles from
First, I will say the location of Blue Pig Tavern is perhaps my favorite spot in Cape May. This "resort" that has grown into a collection of many iconic properties and restaurants and that is perhaps the reason my recent visit to the Blue Pig Tavern was so underwhelming. I believe no one is paying attention to "detail" anymore.I frequent the Blue Pig Tavern several times each year usually as part of the "Dinner and a Show" offer. The three course fixed menu is seasonal and the menu changes are welcome; your ticket is included with the price, currently $59pp. A great bang for the buck! I do recommend that one makes a reservation for both thru The Blue Pig Tavern. That said, let's get to the details. The young seating hostess, while pleasant, lacked awareness of how to seat guests comfortably. Our seating was for an early 5:30 PM, along with many older patrons. Observation: While the less stable cafe chairs were OK for us, not so much for the more unsteady on their feet mature guests. Witnessed a few guests move themselves to booths or round tables for better personal comfort. Then as we were taking care of our check, the hostess moved together three cafe tables for two to seat a party of five that included a set of older grandparents, a child and parents, The father/husband of the group was at least 6'3" and barely able to fit on the cafe chair or under the table. Good Luck with a pleasant dining experience sir. Anyway, we were seated inside, at a small cafe table near the window. The seating hostess gave us the regular dinner menu, although we had checked in for the select limited menu reservation. Bread was served quickly, but was just ordinary white Italian-style bread, not heated. I remember of my many visits in the past to have had warm artisan bread served. When I reached for my napkin, it was NOT a napkin but the signature place-mat folded as a napkin. Finding that it would not work for me, and because my table attendant had not yet presented herself, I reached over and took the napkin from the table next to me. When is it OK to use a place-mat as a dinner napkin? The table attendant was also young and pleasant, but her table service was minimal the way it is abroad, "unobtrusive". Had to request ice water to be refilled and then waited for over five minutes for her to return to complete the task. The dining room was not bustling and from my corner of the room I could easily observe the non-productive wait staff across the room. No one was tending to tables or guests needs. The three course tavern menu always has a good mix of choices. We chose salad (Caesar & Beet); main courses (Salmon & Fish n Chips) both bland to the palate. My Fish n Chips were light, crisp and meaty haddock pieces (needed salt). The chips/fries were limp and saturated in oil, not good. I added a squeeze of lemon into the tartar sauce to give it a bit of something as it was also without flavor. The dessert course was the chef selection (no choice this time) of strawberry swirl cheesecake squares. Likely the best part of the meal. From my experience and observations, I recognize that maintaining a consistently well trained staff in a seasonal resort town is a challenge. However, I do believe that the management is failing to instruct their staff in American dining custom and expectations in a fine dining establishment. The service would be greatly improved if they did take the time to manage their staff and hospitality better. It is the small things that go a long way.In the kitchen, the chef needs to step up his/her game. Even simple food should have flavor and presence. Overall, our regular dining experience was disappointing ..... I am blue.

Finally got in to eat here on our last stay in Cape May! Will not be our last visit. Amazing artisan pizza in a fantastic and cool atmosphere. Great staff and fast service. Had a 45 minute wait, but did not mind as we passed the time, drinks in hand on the lawn of Congress hall. Hostess called when our table was ready. Canât wait to visit again..this will definitely be a regular stop for us!
