Was here twice and both times were great!! Everyone from hostess to server to bar staff were nice as were the patrons!! We ordered food and cocktails and were not disappointed. The prices are good and the portions nice sizes. Plan to go again and again. The only thing I could find to complain about was that it was kind of noisy. Otherwise, a fun experience!!

Our server. Had to claim my bday burger and Jackie made our night. We havenât been here in awhile due to service and because of her, we might consider visiting again. For a franchise burger place, its a really good burger. It should be right! Service has changed over and over again but tonight you have won us back. Thank you for making my bday burger great again. Even without a candle. Cheers to you!

My family chose PJ Sweeney's for the repast following my Grandmother's funeral. 30 friends and family members attended. There were multiple servers fetching drinks from the bar and ensuring every one was cared for. We had a buffet lunch with a variety of brunch items including eggs and bacon, salads, chicken and beef entrees and penne vodka. Everything was delicious. We had three desert options as well and everyone raved about the cheesecake. Having a private dining room gave us the privacy we wanted and we were able to display family photos around the room and tell stories and share memories. I highly recommend PJ Sweeney's for any type of private party. I know my Grandmother would approve!

Full Serve Restaurant
Looking for some good wings in Toms River area. Found Quaker Steak and decided to give it a shot. Turned out to be pretty good. They were crispy and not greasy. Service was good by Kaitlan (?) House made chips were excellent. This will be our place for wings until Bru's Room move up from Florida!

Nice location on a marina. Big restaurant with multiple rooms and bars. Very lively crowd and busy. I got a burger (Crabby burger) which as good but a bit over cooked (ordered medium/medium rare and was medium well). It came out very quickly, which was great but must have been already cooking and that's why over cooked. It didn't have much crab, which was a little disappointing. But the burger was good and I would go there again for a burger or other food. Burgers were a little pricey. They do have deals every night of the week, which is nice. On my night there was $20 lobster dinner and $4 craft beers.

First visit to River Rock. Great location right on the water with inside and outside seating. Two bars so plenty of seating. Many, many televisions to watch all sports. While the Happy Hour appetizers seemed appealing, I chose the Mahi Mahi from the regular menu. The entrees come with soup or salad so I chose the New England Clam Chowder which was delicious. The Mahi Mahi came covered in artichokes, tomatoes, and olives. Choice of two sides so I went with rice and spinach. The Mahi Mahi was cooked just right and the artichokes were a great topping. Plus the bartenders were friendly and helpful even though I am not a regular. Overall, very happy with the food and the water view. Will stop in again some time when passing through.

It was our first time at this restaurant. We were happy to have made a reservation as it was very crowded when we arrived. Our server Megan was absolutely wonderful. She explained everything on the menu, what the specials were and was extremely attentive the entire evening. We tried the Cobia that was delicious and also the dynamite shrimp which was also great. We loved the nice warm bread and dipping oil to start off with. We will be returning soon.

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.
Our dining experience at Houlihans can be summarized as nice decor, great service and great deserts; but the main entrees were just ok. Letâs talk about the positives first.I liked the eclectic environment of the restaurant â with pictures of 50s film stars (Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, etc) hanging on the walls. A ceiling that was an interesting piece of art work - a mural of colorful, images on a multiple layered ceiling. Seating consisting of hard wood bench chairs and tables. The waiters would rush pass leaving the enticing smell of smoking, hot fajitas in the air.We really liked our server Ashley. Friendly and personable. We had a member of our party who was gluten free and she worked with us to ensure she would like her meal and that it would be safe for her. I appreciate her writing a Happy Fatherâs Day with a smiley face on my check. Our deserts were delicious. A bit on the sweet side but very good. I had the vanilla bean cheese cake â which our waitress recommended and is like a crème brulee and cheesecake combined. Others at our table had the salted caramel, gooey butter cake and the gluten free person had a mini crème brulee. She said we should come here all the time just for the gluten free desserts. All were delicious. The negatives were the main entrees. I ordered off the Father's day specials â a three course meal for $25. I ordered the Caesar salad, vanilla cheese cake and fried Korean chicken. The salad and desert were very good. But my Korean chicken was just ok. It was not bad, just nothing special about it. It was heavily breaded, fried chicken with a layer of chili powder on it, over a layer of string beans and brown rice. I was expecting something more from the description of this dish. I eat half the meal at the restaurant and took the rest home for lunch the next day.The others at my table were also not impressed with their entrees. The others ordered the crab cakes; sea scallop risotto and gluten free person ordered the Brentwood chicken sandwich without the bread. They said the scallops look like it had been sitting around for a while. For Father day they may have pre-made some dishes. They were also not impressed by the crab cakes. Again, just ok, but expected more.Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that you had a nice visit with us, though we are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the entrees. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] to discuss further. -Amanda, Houlihan's Marketing

Always a great place to stop for lunch or dinner for homemade food. They make great soups and it has a nice friendly atmosphere.
