They have some unique rolls which I enjoy. The service is attentive. I've brought many friends here who also enjoy the food. The fish appears fresh. No odor. The bento boxes are a decent size. My friend brings home the salad dressing for her children. It's a BYO. Parking stinks so bring quarters. Sun-Thurs they have a special 20% off if you pay cash. Decor is nice and comfortable.

It has been reviewed by Yelp... It is an excellent restaurant. The bibimbab is excellent, the pancakes are fine as well. Nice family restaurant.
This is a small casual BYOB restaurant. The service was nice and friendly. Our server helped us with the menu and answered all our questions. We wanted to try an assortment of dishes. The curry tofu with crab meat and spicy pork were both amazing. We absolutely loved those two dishes. We also tried the seafood pancake which was decent and so was the vegetable vermicelli. I definitely will be going back to explore some of the other items on the menu. Overall, a nice dining experience

It's a very casual and informal place. It's basically a house. The decor inside was interesting. It's hard to describe it, it's almost like you were transported back to the 70's.The service was nice and friendly. I had the Pho, the broth was excellent. The noodles were alright. If you are in the neighborhood, it's worth checking it out.

This is a small Vietnamese Restaurant in Ridgewood,New Jersey. The staff is not Vietnamese but friendly and helpful young ladies.Three of us share two appertizers of pork rolls and a spiced pork. These were good but very similar in taste and therefore no need to get two types. We all had Pho.This was a lunch special except prices are not so lunch special. The Pho (Vietnamese Soup) was in a large bowl.As with all Pho servings you receive bean sprouts with greens, jalapeno peppers and lime.We had to ask for the peppers as none was served and lemon was used instead of lime, that is a no no.The greens were few and not very fresh. They need to improve this ASAP.Now for the broth.Broth is the key to this dish.Although not terrible it did not have the sweetness and fragrance that we are used to in other Vietnamese Restaurants. This was not made with love.My wife ordered a Vietnamese coffee which is a small slow dripped cover over sweetened condensed milk. The coffee was just okayand for $5.00 this was a total rip as we get much for $2.50 everywhere else.If people in this area think this is good then they either never go out of the area or they know very little about Vietnamese food.We will never return,

I've been to Wasabi a few times. Two weeks ago I stopped in on a Tuesday evening. I ordered the gyoza (dumplings) and the Wasabi roll - "Yellowtail, fluke and avocado over jalapeno white tuna roll with wasabi mayo".The gyoza was hot and delicious. The Wasabi roll melted in my mouth. The flavors were so delicate and blended perfectly. My green tea was refilled more than once, service was so polite and not pushy. I left feeling so relaxed and happy. My only criticism would be that the lighting is very intense and reflects off the table. Regarding questions below on "family-friendliness" I would say families with kids who can sit still.

We were all very happy with our meals. The place was packed on a Friday nite with people waiting outside around 8 pm.The menu is too big but itâs fun to check out the choices.Amazingly the sashimi was really good! I was a little concerned given the inexpensive pricing for everything.Great soup and salad starters and excellent rolls!Weâve added this to our list.

After reading an article about Shumi in NJ Monthly in the morning, we made a reservation for dinner that same night. We sat at the sushi counter in excited anticipation for our first omskase experience. We opted for the special omakase for $110 per person, and it was well worth it. Also, it's BYO, which is always a plus. Each course was culinary perfection and explained to us in detail by the chef. Plus, it was a beautiful balance of temperatures, textures, and flavors. There is something very freeing about putting decisions in the hands of the chef and being open to trying new items as well as the inventive spin traditional favorites. At the end of our evening, the owner and executive chef, David Seo, spoke to us at length and offered a few extra special bites to complete the experience. He is so warm and humble, even though he is a sushi master. Shumi is a very special restaurant and a place you will not forget. We drove 50 minutes for dinner, but if it was farther, we would still travel for it. It's that remarkable!

Situated in historic town of Ridgewood, Truly Sichuan is ranked as the most authentic Szechuan/Sichuan Chinese restaurant in Bergen county or northern Jersey by many patrons. It is elegant, welcoming, and, is a top choice for your special occasions or jus
The food was just ok.The good news is that the entree portion of the menu is decidedly different and reads more interesting than other restaurants of this nature. It just didnât deliver. It lacked punch. It was mediocre at best. The apps were all pedestrian. And, the service was terrible, and the place was empty. Go figure.

A group of 35 of us made a plan to eat here for lunch on Christmas. They have a nice private back room. We pre ordered a set menu. There was so much food. We started with chicken and corn soup. Then fried rice. Then spring rolls, scallion pancakes, and chicken. After that was bok choy, vegetables in garlic, beef and broccoli, vegetables with chicken, lo mein, and then fortune cookies and oranges. We were stuffed. The resaurant was packed.

Let's start from the beginning,This place was suggested to us by a friend as a pretty decent sushi place in Ridgewood. I have to agree with him on this but then again I had expected a little better in terms of quality of the food. But first things first. Came here on Tuesday night for dinner. The place was packed, so the level of expectation became sky high even though the place is right next to the train station. So we sat down expecting great food and great service. Gotta mention that service was actually great, fast, polite, no nonsense. But food seemed somewhat mediocre considering the number of people that are passing through the place given a full house on a Tuesday night. Me and my wife both ordered Sashimi B (16 pcs) of Sashimi with no white tuna but it seems that Tuna is the fish of choice, where as I would have expected more variety like Mackerel instead of Albacore. And the fish seemed to have that "frozen aftertaste" though it wasn't as prominent as some of the other places I had a chance to visit.Overall I would say this is a good place to visit and I think after the renovations that they were closing for it may be better but it still needs a little bit of improvement.
