Things to do in Washington Township
We just returned from dinner at this run-down neighborhood bar. My sister-in-law said that she once had had the best burger of her life here, so we decided to give it another try. I say "another" because we ate here many years ago when Dave Finklestein ("Fink") served his BBQ specialties here. Now he has his own place again in Dumont. See my review of his new restaurant elsewhere on Trip Advisor. The fact that we had not returned in all this time should have said something to us about the ambiance and the experience of eating here, but we went back anyway. The service and food were fine, especially the fries which were really outstanding, but the burgers were not the best we'd ever had--actually far from it. My big, and I do mean big, complaint with this place is that it is FREEZING inside at this time of year--so cold, in fact, that everyone eating was wearing their outdoor coats while eating. It was cold and drafty and not at all a pleasant experience, and it was not even that cold outdoors--I wonder what it's like in there when it really gets cold outside in January or February! Do not come here in winter! I couldn't wait to leave. And I never had that draft beer I was thinking about all day, because it was just too cold in the dining room to even think about having a cold beer. Tonight is Saturday, but the dining room was far from full. A rock band was setting up to play as we left. Large free parking lot on the premises. I always feel bad about giving a poor rating, and I'm very sorry to have to say that if it weren't for the delicious fries and the nice waitress, I would have given this restaurant a lower rating. I won't return, even in the summer.

This is a real foodie place. It's an old-fashion diner type place aesthetically, but beyond that....food, excellent food, and more excellent food. You go here for the food. Period. It's no frills, nice music, rock and roll theme, but it's all about the food. The menu is a bit eclectic ranging from a delicious chicken salad, to a veal special, to a pasta, to a hanger steak, lobster bisque, a lobster roll, short-rib ravioli, and more. There's excellent flavor and taste in everything -- and the flavor is just layered into all of the ingredients. You get all of the nuances of taste and flavor. Last time I was there, I had crab bisque -- done perfectly. Excellent flavor, perfect consistency, not to pastey or thick, and not thin or watery. Loaded with crab, vegetables, and whatever else they use. I then moved on to a short-rib ravioli, topped off with some hanger steak. I can't say enough -- taste, in each of the ingredients, all of the flavor profile, coming through -- just excellent.

THANK YOU to the anonymous customer that walked in to pick up his order and then paid the bill & gratuities for the ENTIRE restaurant that was dinning in on Saturday, October 29 around 6 pm (Washington Township). Select Pizza Grill is a friendly place with excellent service and food.

Tom Sawyer Diner is a family owned business which treats their customers perfectly. Modern attractive building which replaced the original which was destroyed by a fire. The food here is not your typical diner fare, and more lie you would expect in a fine restaurant. Friendly, courteous staff, large parking lot, and bar on premises makes a complete package.

I recently had dinner at PJ Whelihan's with the family. We were promptly seated and our drink orders taken along with some appetizers. Our entrees were taken next. All the food tasted so good when it was served. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was cooked perfectly. This is a great place to eat. The food and service is awesome.

Our philosophy is simple; to provide great food, exceptional value and friendly service to each and every customer we serve.
I probably havenât been to this restaurant in 20 years and my heart sunk when I was given the venue for a family celebration. I still felt that way when we walked in to the uninspiring front reception area and saw the dark brown, heavy furniture and flat screen TVs on either end of the room in which we were to be seated. I had no real hope of a great dinner or a great time. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. Our server, Linda, valiantly took care of our table for ten single-handedly and with humour. The orders ranged from nachos to steak, with quite a few plates of pork ribs. The salad bar was included but I should either have forgone that or only ordered a half rack of ribs because even though I didnât eat bread or potato, I was absolutely stuffed and couldnât even manage a cup of coffee afterwards. Others seemed to enjoy the cheesecake and brownie sundae. A bottle of Pinot noir, good value at half price on Tuesdays, was drinkable, but a bit thin for my taste. What can I say to sum up? The good is good quality, tasty and more than plentiful and all the staff is charming and friendly. There is plenty of parking. Unfortunately, only parts of the restaurant are wheelchair accessible, meaning that a customer in a wheelchair cannot personally visit the salad bar. This place would have received an Excellent rating from me if it was refitted with fresher, more attractive decor and didnât remind me of the sticky tabled pubs I hung out in back in the 80âs.

BYOB Located in Washington Township serving Continental food with great Hungarian/Italian/French dishes. Offering different kind of special every night.
This charming, family-owned bistro provided very tasty food and excellent coffee. Caesar salad was tasty with the right amount of dressing. No anchovies but those are becoming less common these days. For the main course, the house specialty meatballs were excellent â soft and tender, extremely flavorful and blending well with marinara sauce. These would be great as an appetizer as well. Spaghetti was not homemade but was cooked properly and tasted fine. Eggplant rollatini appetizer was delicious. We ate every bite. Service was spotty. Waiter clearly had not understood the order and brought meatballs cooked a very different way. This was cleared up after a quick and sincere apology. Coffee took a while but when it came it was excellent â some of the best restaurant coffee Iâve had in a long time. When we said we had to leave quickly, the check came instantly. I attribute the service issues to the training of a new waiter. Once that smooths out, then based on the excellent food, this place will be in a position to earn the full five stars.

Keeping it real Jersey style- kudos to the staff- welcome environment hearty food- well seasoned and served piping hot! Rick kept the ambiance as rich as the well balanced Neshaminy Creek Punkless Dunkle- Though professional, he kept a smile on the faces of all the patrons- greeting each one warmly and welcomed them back with his contagious smile, with and humor.Ambiance aside, the French onion soup is a must have- and if you enjoy baked mac n cheese- or have little ones- make sure you do not miss the crispy, cheesy baked mac n cheese bites. (not to mention the cheesy tomato goodness they make from scratch for dipping- scrumptious) Your mouth will thank you!Jersey- being my first home- never disappoints with food, brews, festivals, shore and hospitality.Get there today- zero regrets Thank you "Ricky T" for the laughs and keeping it real!

Bonefish Grill is attached to The Town Crown Plaza Hotel which can make parking a challenge on a busy night. The establishment is divided in two, a Bar area with dinning options and a main dinning area. We sat in the Bar dinning area which was fun because of all the activity. All in all the food from appetizers to the main course were good, The Bang Bang Shrimp were excellent, highly recommend this app. All the courses were good with the best being the Crab Crusted Cod.Jasmine was our guide through the dinning experience, she made it a "FUN AND ENGAGING EXPEIENCE"!

I've always enjoyed this place, and never had a meal there that wasn't excellent. From the raw bar items, to appetizers, to entrees, you name it -- excellent! The same applies to drinks at the bar before and after dinner. The owner, I believe his name is John, is present, hands-on, and a nice guy. Personable, takes pride in his place, the food that comes out of the kitchen, and is a top notch owner-operator. The service staff, is excellent. They know their craft and make sure you have a good experience. The only downside -- and it's the only thing I will point out -- is this "manager" type young man who is there. I dealt with him before dinner and after. His name is Victor. In simply asking a question, about my table, time-frame, etc. -- he immediately had this dismissive attitude, almost demeaning. Having been in this industry for my entire adult life, I understand the dynamic, both from the client/customer/consumer perspective, as well as from the owner/management perspective. Unfortunately, this young man doesn't have the temperament for the business. He is more interested in making his point, and being right, than actually hearing what the customer has to say. Victor interrupted me, and my associate, and my associate's wife, more than once. He made sure he talked over us. It was more unprofessional, than rude. Somewhat passive aggressive. Dealing with someone like this can put a damper on one's evening, and the overall experience. He should learn how to deal with people, communicate with them more efficiently and effectively, and simply learn how to treat people. However, I will always go back here, and just make sure I don't have to deal with or interact with Victor.
