Needed to make early dinner resi's for 2 couples going to The PM Playhouse for a show. My foodie niece recommended this restauant for their great food and walking distance to the show. We arrived to find a beautiful venue with open kitchen design. Very comfy and inviting. We started with a few appys to share. Twice cooked Pork Belly withsweet chili and soy glaze, scallions was to die for. We also had some delicious salmon sashimi and an incedible butter truffle 'special' that was incredible. A great start to a great dinner. Entrees included Plancha Seared Fluke (crazy good), Pan Roasted Branzino Fillet (yummy), and Dry Aged Australian Sirlon (cooked to perfection). The low of the meal were the desserts. We had London Fog Profiterole and Mocha Swiss Roll Cake. Both were good but not off the charts like the rest of the meal. Even so the rest of the meal deserved 5 stars plus. Of course the BYOB just makes it that much better. Must try especially if you're in town for a show at the Playhouse!

Food and service was good however immediately after being seated for lunch all of the windows on the porch were opened which resulted in a significant amount of road noise and flys/bugs into the room. This was not conducive for a business lunch at all. At a minimum there should be screens on all windows.

I have not tried the [apparently] famous chicken yet, but I probably will based on the pulled pork take-out I bought. I got a quart. They packed enough in it for probably 10 decent sandwiches - which makes it quite a deal at $9.99. Like the hint of vinegar and red pepper - NC style. Only negative - chopped to fine - I will ask them to leave chunks next time. {With a side of chicken]

We ate here while staying with friends in Maplewood, which is a very pretty town. Food was good. My husband had the Chicken Goujons, I had the crock of Mature cheddar and crackers. We also had a very good Marlborough at a reasonable price. Went back the next day for more!

Manny makes a great Texas Wie#ne#r, (seems I can't use that word)one of the best around! These places are disappearing. They are treasures of American cusine. The meat sauce is rich in flavor, slightly spicy. The long hotdog has a nice snap. With mustard and chopped onion on a bun that is just right. They have many other good things on their menu. But I never get past the Texas Weiners! Staff is friendly with table service, counter or take out. Easy access to Rt. 78.Enjoy!

While the service was not as good as we expected, I did find out later than only three of the seven scheduled servers showed up when we visited, which is why I improved the service rating to average.Huck Finn is a large dinner with a very large menu, and it has a liquor license, so I was able to start off with an inexpensive, but drinkable chardonnay. I then proceeded to the salad bar where I had a lot of veggie choices, along with some cheeses and legumes. The meal continued with matzoh ball soup. While not as good as my mom's (of course, I had to say that!), the matzoh ball was still pretty good, and I appreciated the fact that the soup was not too salty. For my main course, I had the chicken parm, served with a good sized side of penne pasta with tomato sauce. The chicken parm itself consisted of two large breaded chicken breasts, served with mozzeralla cheese and more sauce. I was pretty happy, but the chicken was a tiny bit dry. I only finished about half, and had the rest for dinner the next night. Finally, I had a large slice of seven layer cake that I shared at home, with my wife. The cake was good, and I liked the icing.I think we got our money's worth.

We visited Coda expecting great food and service. The food was ok. I enjoyed the shrimp soup and blackened chicken sandwich. Friends had the short rib grilled cheese which he raved about. The baby back ribs were a bit dry on the inside and quite saucy on the outside. The waitress was a bit abrupt at times and unnecessarily confrontational. For example my friend who was on a diet asked for a little slaw with his grilled cheese sandwich. The waitress said they didnât have slaw. When the ribs came out they had slaw. Really!!Didnât appreciate the non effort to make him happy over a few tablespoons of slaw. I blame mgt for that. Overall, Coda was OK. Will probably return.

Went here with a few friends from the area. The appetizers decent, especially the charcuterie. The tuna tartare was overpowered by a very salty avocado mousse so I didnât enjoy it. I ordered the pad Thai and it was a disaster. It tasted like vinegar and the chicken it was served with had been pounded to the consistency of shoe leather and the only thing you could taste was salt. It was served with peanuts but had no peanut flavor. Drinks were good and they do have a massive selection, especially beer. I wonât return. By the way, it seems like a lot of the 5 star reviews for this place are from individuals with very few reviews. Hmmmm.

Great to dine in or take out. Probably 50 sandwiches to choose from. Most are pressed with a panini machine. Fresh ingredients. I had the Gossip Girl which was grilled chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers and balsamic vinegar. Juicy and flavorful. My son liked jay ray. Fresh bread too. You can design your own salad too. All the staff were nice and willing to cater to your needs. Definitely will go back.On the street parking with 15 minutes free. Great if picking up to go.

We met our friends for brunch on Labor Day: was not too crowded. Voted by NJ.com as best diner in Essex County, we decided to meet our friends for a meal. Our friends had the eggs Benedict and really liked them. My wife had an omelette and thought it was good but not great. I had a wrap with fries. The balsamic vinegar on the wrap made the wrap too soggy. The fries were good. Server was super friendly. They have a parking lot.
