We visited Coda expecting great food and service. The food was ok. I enjoyed the shrimp soup and blackened chicken sandwich. Friends had the short rib grilled cheese which he raved about. The baby back ribs were a bit dry on the inside and quite saucy on the outside. The waitress was a bit abrupt at times and unnecessarily confrontational. For example my friend who was on a diet asked for a little slaw with his grilled cheese sandwich. The waitress said they didnât have slaw. When the ribs came out they had slaw. Really!!Didnât appreciate the non effort to make him happy over a few tablespoons of slaw. I blame mgt for that. Overall, Coda was OK. Will probably return.

We stopped here for a lunch celebration. We had a lot of different food items. Dips, salads, sandwiches, coffee drinks, and deserts! All was great - service was fair, staff was unfriendly and only did what was needed, we had a big party and the 20% tip was already included in the bill (SADLY). We are all about giving great tips 20% or more when earned, but it was not in this case. They were not busy only a few other tables at the time, so not sure what the staff were doing.

Nice diner located in Union on route 22, nicely decorated inside, cozy environment. Service was very attentive, food came out in good time and hot, and was very good- we were there for breakfast. Prices are typical diner prices- moderate. Parking in lot outside.

Went here with a few friends from the area. The appetizers decent, especially the charcuterie. The tuna tartare was overpowered by a very salty avocado mousse so I didnât enjoy it. I ordered the pad Thai and it was a disaster. It tasted like vinegar and the chicken it was served with had been pounded to the consistency of shoe leather and the only thing you could taste was salt. It was served with peanuts but had no peanut flavor. Drinks were good and they do have a massive selection, especially beer. I wonât return. By the way, it seems like a lot of the 5 star reviews for this place are from individuals with very few reviews. Hmmmm.

Amber was our server today and she was terrific. She was friendly and made us feel welcome and valued. When ordering I told her I preferred to eat vegan foods. While they didnât have a vegan menu per-se, Amber suggested their home made veggie burger. I had it served with sautéed broccoli and a salad and it was all extremely good. Skipped the bun since it was warmed/toasted on the griddle and had butter. Good food, great service. Way to go!

Quaint and relaxed, the Kenilworth Diner & Restaurant is dedicated to being your home away from home. Fresh, homestyle cooking paired with friendly and attentive service this is what we do best. Think: first-class dining on a first-name basis, where new p
Went for breakfast with daughter and grand-daughters. Selection is huge; food is tasty; prices are good value; service is prompt and pleasant - very nice atmosphere. The booth dividers in the rear restaurant are not anchored to the wall so every time the people in the seat behind us moved back and forth, so did we - it's akin to the little kid in the seat behind you on an airplane who insists on kicking your seat back. Simple solution - sit at a table or counter. Note: we didn't change because the restaurant was full and more people were waiting for a table. I hope the restaurant owner/manager gets a carpenter or handyman to anchor the dividers to the adjoining wall because we really liked the place.Thank you for the review hope to see again soon.

While the service was not as good as we expected, I did find out later than only three of the seven scheduled servers showed up when we visited, which is why I improved the service rating to average.Huck Finn is a large dinner with a very large menu, and it has a liquor license, so I was able to start off with an inexpensive, but drinkable chardonnay. I then proceeded to the salad bar where I had a lot of veggie choices, along with some cheeses and legumes. The meal continued with matzoh ball soup. While not as good as my mom's (of course, I had to say that!), the matzoh ball was still pretty good, and I appreciated the fact that the soup was not too salty. For my main course, I had the chicken parm, served with a good sized side of penne pasta with tomato sauce. The chicken parm itself consisted of two large breaded chicken breasts, served with mozzeralla cheese and more sauce. I was pretty happy, but the chicken was a tiny bit dry. I only finished about half, and had the rest for dinner the next night. Finally, I had a large slice of seven layer cake that I shared at home, with my wife. The cake was good, and I liked the icing.I think we got our money's worth.

Great to dine in or take out. Probably 50 sandwiches to choose from. Most are pressed with a panini machine. Fresh ingredients. I had the Gossip Girl which was grilled chicken, mozzarella, roasted peppers and balsamic vinegar. Juicy and flavorful. My son liked jay ray. Fresh bread too. You can design your own salad too. All the staff were nice and willing to cater to your needs. Definitely will go back.On the street parking with 15 minutes free. Great if picking up to go.

From the fireplace in the bar/foyer area to the warmth of the ambiance throughout, Blvd Five72 is inviting in all the best ways. This isn't a "cozy" place. though. The service, the food and the experience are all top notch and a bit fancy...but all of it felt like being in someone's care the entire time. Will definitely be back!

We met our friends for brunch on Labor Day: was not too crowded. Voted by NJ.com as best diner in Essex County, we decided to meet our friends for a meal. Our friends had the eggs Benedict and really liked them. My wife had an omelette and thought it was good but not great. I had a wrap with fries. The balsamic vinegar on the wrap made the wrap too soggy. The fries were good. Server was super friendly. They have a parking lot.
