Acacia is in Lawrenceville, NJ and across the main street from the well-regarded Lawrenceville School. Dining in the summer when school is on break gives the restaurant a relaxed, quiet and reseeved atmosphere. The menu is small but filled with exciting appetizers, salads, and entrees. We enjoyed the beet salad, crabcakes, porkchop and chocolate trifle. Prices are in the $20's and $30's for entrees. No wine list but you can bring your own bottles. Service was attentive.

Our server was great. Very attentive and funny wish I could remember his name. Our food was really good everything came out warm and tasty. The garlic bread was really good and actually had enough garlic on it! Dinner salads were OK. The entrees for our group were all good. Desserts good.Prices a bit high for the area.

We were pleasantly surprised to walk right in and be seated at Café 72 for a Saturday lunch; our timing for once was good (and I think the local university had wrapped up its graduation). The server's greeting was warm and friendly and she did not try to rush us. I'll focus on the Ruben which I had for lunch; I've had their Rubens before but this one was exceptional....it was just very good. At first I ordered fries as the side and then remembered their house made chips; glad I remembered them...the perfect side for that sandwich and they too were very good. As mentioned earlier the server was very good; attentive but not intrusive; she ensured the drinks were filled w/o interrupting the conversation flow.

We went with friends to the Blue Bottle on a Wednesday night, which is âlocalâs nightâ. That means that in addition to their regular menu, they have a prix fix menu, which is really a good deal. Many of the entrées on the regular menu are close to or over $30 and the prix fix menu is $32 for 3 courses. Three of us opted for the specials and were delighted with our salads and entrées. My husband ordered from the regular menu and was also quite pleased. However, the special dessert that two of us ordered was a disappointment. It was called âstrawberry financier with coconut gelato and raspberry coulisâ. The financier was hard as a rock and very difficult (almost impossible) to cut with spoon or fork! When I had asked what a financier was (before I ordered) the waitress went into details about how the egg yolks are whipped to a ribbon and the whites whipped to peaks and that the financier itself is similar to a meringue. Well, a meringue should be light and airy and this was anything but. It was more like a hockey puck! The dessert tasted good, but the cake itself was a disappointment. To bad to end a lovely meal that way!I have since looked up recipes for financiers and discovered that it is supposed to be a small cake (not hockey puck!) and only uses egg whites, not also yolks! It was a surprising and disappointing end to an otherwise excellent meal.Note: I would have given an "excellent" rating except that the dessert ruined the evening! Thanks for your feedback. I'm not sure what happened with the financier as it has been a long standing dessert on the menu, and I am so sorry that you didn't care for it. It sounds as if something was certainly amiss...There are no egg yolks in the cake, I will look into it a bit further and figure out the service person that gave you incorrect information. Fortunately, the menu changes weekly so it should narrow things down quickly as to who may have potentially overbaked the dessert and who doesn't know what they are serving. We appreciate your comments and hope to see you again soon. Desserts tonight are a pot de creme and a passion fruit tart, and I can personally attest to their being up to the standard that the chef has become known for. Please let me know when you are joining us for a future visit. I would love the opportunity to show you how great my financier can be...

The weather was lovely so we elected to eat outside. We were a party of four and we each ordered different items. The butterfish, mahi mahi, short ribs and pasta with vodka sauce were all delicious. The only disappointment was the banana cream pie for my dessert.

A small comfortable BYOB restaurant. Two couples looking for a casual dinner experience, we narrowed our search to Peasant Grill. It was the smart choice. Bright and inviting with indoor and outdoor dinning opportunities. Efficient and pleasant ordering at the counter followed by excellent meals with attentive staff and a visit from the owners to insure we all enjoyed the experience, Don't know why it took so ling to get here, but warrants a return sooner rather than later. The meals we had included a fresh crispy salad, Eggplant Parm, Lemon basil Chicken, and Vegetable Lasagna.

It can get crowded at lunchtime, but they manage the line well. There's one fellow that works there that really pulls together some amazing Chopped Chicken Salads. Everything is clean, well organized and the food is fresh. I wish they had a larger selection of Vitamin Waters instead of the sodas - but I'm glad they at least have some! From the front it looks like there's very few tables, but there is additional seating to the left and back of the counter. There are also a couple of tables outside as well. You can feel confident you'll get a good quick lunch here, the food and service are very consistent.

The chief and I were at the hospital awaiting the birth of our grand daughter when I got hungry after waiting 14 hours with no baby. So we went on yelp and found that this place was open and had a bar so we went for a late dinner. Surprisingly it was the old Diamonds where we have been many times. It was like homecoming. I had a couple of martinis, arugula salad and the roasted chicken, while the chief has her Prosecco, Cesar salad and the mussels. We both loved our meals and the bar tender Rich couldnât have been nicer.Still no baby.....

It may be me, but not much on the menu appeals to me. Wife and friend, relatives like it more. Service is always great. Drinks are very good. Decore is presented well. Bar always full. Frieindly atmosphere.Let me get this straight. We offer 40 items on our menu and nothing appealed to you? You gave a "3" star review because you didn't like 1 thing!! Yes, it's obviously you. On the contrary, all of the others in your group liked everything! Seriously sir why in the world didn't they write the review. Makes no sense.

We stopped in for dinner and had the best pizza and salads ever! I had a Ryan's salad and it was amazing. Daily soup was great also and then there was the pizza! Great doesn't even begin to describe it.
