Across from the ocean, this elegant dining room serves classic American food with a special touch. Union Park Dining Room received New Jersey Monthly Magazine's 2005 thru 2016 Critics Choice Award as one of the best restaurants in New Jersey. Working his
Went here during restaurant week 2019. The menu offered extensive choice in all three categories â that isnât typical of most participating restaurants. Yes, some of the items were smaller than the usual size when you are paying full price. But the ambience and taste were top notch. Started with the tuna tartare - very light. Diced tuna on top of seaweed salad on a single crisp taco. Small but well done. THe entree for me wasa lobstertail atop lobster rissoto. Delicious. Dessert was a fruit tart. Light as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We ordered ala carte as well as the chef's tasting menu and the garden menu (myself). I loved each dish from the garden menu, the portion sizes were right on target so that I wasn't full by the time my entree arrived (though I couldn't finish most of my dessert - the apple crisp). The first course was endive with goat cheese and a beet puree and it was excellent. I loved the berry-basil sorbet course, perfectly balanced the herb with other ingredients. The house bread was wonderful - warm, cheesy, moist. My brother's short rib was outstanding as well as his appetizer, the duck ravioli. My mother had the chef tasting menu, while she wasn't overwhelmed with the steak tartare, my brother happily finished it up. She loved the scallops entree. The setting is lovely as well - a comfortable distance between tables and especially since my elderly mother has a bad back and hip, comfortable seating. Courses were served in perfect timing, as well as the taking of our orders. The staff (wait and owner) were attentive, but not too much so.

Just steps away from Cape May Lighthouse, The Red Store serves new American seasonal cuisine with seaside flare. Join us for brunch/dinner, and shop authentic Jersey Shore souvenirs at our General Store.
Everything about The Red Store was great -- service, food, atmosphere. It's fixed price, six-course, creative cooking, great variety of dishes, beautiful dining room (we were inside because of the heat), friendly, professional service. The night we were there (7/19/2019), the menu started with a board called Pancitos & Picadita -- smoked trout, cured meats and cheeses, homemade naan, a brioche roll, pickles, vanilla and lavender butter. Along with that was course #2: empanadas (vegetable and chicken). Course #3 was delicious hamachi ceviche with watermelon. Then came squash soup with coconut, crab, zucchini and basil. I could have happily had another bowl. After that, risotto with chicken confit, tomato and cheese. Finally, my wife had seared scallops and I had striped bass. Both were perfectly cooked and outstanding. For dessert, panna cotta with blueberry. I would DEFINITELY return and we plan to in October, before it closes. We look forward to having you back soon, Michael! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and for the kind words.

House specialties include local seafood, steak and pasta. The special board is always loaded with local favorites like baby lamb chops, crab imperial and more. The bread is made fresh daily and desserts are made in house. We are BYOB. We do have a childre

We have been coming here for years during our annual family vacation to Cape May but sadly this year will be our last. We came during a party apparently where they had a DJ. Normally this would be fun, not an issue at all BUT the music was turned up so loudly that nobody could talk to anyone else, not even someone sitting right next to them. And we were sitting outside while the music was inside. We witnessed several people sit down, get up, then leave because of the loudness while we were there. Also note that this was not a nighttime visit. I want to say we were there around 3-4pm. We did ask them to turn the outdoor speakers down a bit and it seemed like they did but soon after it got loud again. The food this time was pretty mediocre. It seems to be going downhill ever since it was sold. Shame. It used to be one of our favorites.

I eat here once a year usually, only because I visit the area once a year. Service is always spot on, quick, and the food never disappoints. On the weekends its usual to see 8-15 people waiting for a table, so I'd suggest going Tues - Thurs if possible. Same food, less wait.

Built in 1840, this former Cape May plantation residence is now home to the acclaimed Washington Inn and Wine Bar. The Craig Family has carefully preserved the beauty & essence of this distinctive treasure without undertaking major alterations to its orig
For a very special occasion,it would be difficult not to make this a top choice. The appetizers and entrees were absolutely divinely delicious with a presentation that could not be beaten. The baby octopus and lamb cavatelli were a shared delight as appetizers. The salmon, crab cakes and Meyers Steak received high ratings from my dinner companions and my braised ribs were other worldly. There are many other enticing dishes on the menu just waiting for our next visit. The wine list is extensive and of high quality. Treat yourself to a very special night out.

We loved this diner. The menu was varied and the food was good, and reasonably priced. We were here for breakfast. The diner was full of model planes and airplane paraphernalia - it was a fun experience just to sit and look around at all of the artifacts. It makes for a very warm ambiance and if I lived closer, I would probably become a regular customer!

The seafood we use is the freshest and locally caught. We offer mako, swordfish, flounder and scallops when in season from our local fishermen. We use only jumbo lump crabmeat. Saturday night our prime rib is certified black angus. All soups are made from
Weâve been to Menz several times with family (not my choice!). I do not understand the fascination with this place. The food is overpriced and nothing special. The service was spotty at best-as if they did not have sufficient waitstaff. The portions are decent but for the price should be more. The decor is very eclectic...like someone took an antique store and blended it with your crazy uncleâs taxidermy collection (do you really want a deer or moose mounted on the wall, staring at you as you eat?). The gift/candy shop was nice-kids and adults will get a kick out of the âpenny candyâ. I get it that this establishment is a long time fixture in Cape May County (hence the multiple pictures of FDR). I guess everyone needs to go once for the experience. Do so, and then move on. And try not to be freaked out by the two-headed goat.
