Weâve been coming here for years. The music is almost always great. The servers are gracious and attentive. But the food is consistently awful. Tonight we had barbecue ribs that were mediocre. Last time greasy fried chicken and the time before a very low quality steak. The only passable offering has been the hamburger, which for reasons the manager hasnât explained, theyâve discontinued. Go figure!

This place is great. Excellent choices for dinner as well as breakfast. The steak salad was delicious and a huge portion!! Breakfast of waffles, bacon and eggs were simple delicious.

Weâve eaten at the Mermaid before, but really thought the happy hour was excellent on this trip. The service is efficient, but not rushed. All of the waitstaff are helpful and pleasant and the food is very tasty. We had a mini clam chowder to start, followed by two dozen oysters. At happy hour, oysters are only $1.25...a great deal. My wife then had the crab and spinach dip; I had a shrimp and avocado slider and we shared a wedge salad. As a treat they give a small chocolate pudding as a free dessert. Itâs a great spot for a pleasant dinner.

We have a vacation home nearby and have celebrated many family events there under prior ownership- havenât been back in a long time= with lobster prime rib specials thought weâd check it out w friends - took forever to get a drink order-had to flag down a waiter - 6:30 on Wednesday only a couple other tables...no bread brought until requested after the entrees arrived- dinner was fine but nothing special - service only if you hunted them down, used to love this place-:( Hi KJDbiz1,Thank you for your review! It gives us an opportunity to make corrections. And we certainly made some Staff changes and brought in some Professionals. We'd like to invite you back. Hopefully you'll give another opportunity to correct the wrong.Best,LSS

Fleming's Edgewater, NJ is an ongoing celebration of exceptional Steak and Wine.Prime Beef and 100 Wines by the Glass. We are located on River Road in CityPlace, Edgewater. Conveniently between the Lincoln Tunnel and the George Washington Bridge
I frequent Flemingâs Prime Steakhouseâs on a pretty regular basis. My visit to their Edgewater, NJ location was a first time visit at that location. The service was top notch, food met or exceeded expectations and the view you have of Manhattan while being right on the Hudson River was superb. If you enjoy and appreciate good food you can rest assured Flemingâs will treat you right. But remember to bring that $$$, because with that top quality comes a price tag to match.Lives2Dive, We appreciate the kind words regarding your visit and glad that you had an excellent dining experience. We hope to see you again at Fleming's in Edgewater in the near future. Haute Cuisine it ainât - solid American style diner (OK you can get cappuccino and croissant if you like) so the food is basic fare well made rather than fancy.Service is fine, the room lacks frills but is nicely furnished, however the surfaces are hard and it gets noisy. Prices are reasonable.Worth a visit or two with your kids or partner - but not a place for a first date!

Since the launch of Jacobs Pickles on the Upper West Side of NY in late 2011, the Pickles team has been committed to sharing their love for food and community. âEverything we do is about bringing good food to good peopleâ, says Jacob. âI couldnât find thi
Went here for lunch; this is a high energy place that emphasizes southern-style dishes (and craft pickles of course). We were seated promptly and the service was quick and smooth. Portions are huge as others have mentioned. I thought the chicken, pickles etc were decent, but not to die for. And the place is really loud....not modern restaurant loud...but âIâm standing next to the speaker at the clubâ loud. You literally have to shout to have a conversation. I guess thatâs the way they like it but really, Iâm just trying to eat and talk here.....Overall its not bad, Iâd go back if invited but the noise level is really excessive IMHO.

I tried the combination platter. The pulled pork was descent, the ribs average and the sausage subpar. The Mac-n-cheese was good as were the salted potatoes. The service was very good, considering the large crowd. Hard to believe a bbq place doesnât offer banana pudding as a desert.

The bagels were fantastic! The fillings too! They let me taste test a few before I decided. I ultimately went with Chipotle avocado on everything & blueberry on plain. I wasnt disappointed! Only wish I had more room for more goodies.
