My wife and I eat breakfast here often enough to know to include pancakes as part of our order. The pancakes are sizable but much better than that include vanilla in the batter. So good. We ate there a few days ago on a warm October morning and sat outside on their front porch area. Good coffee, excellent bacon and cheese omelet, home fries enhanced by fried onions and we were happily set to face the day. Our server was constantly on hand to top off the coffee and make certain we were fine. Yes, we were!

The products are freshly made and baked there. Not a super extensive menu of items but the ones that are there are good quality and tasty.Check their schedule

Loved the food and the outdoor seating area. We came back a second night and sat indoor which was noisy so definitely enjoyed the outdoor area better. Doos was great both night though

We went for breakfast at Uncle Billâs. It was off season and not crowded. We had Uncle Billâs buttermilk pancakes to share for the table and we each ordered omelets or eggs. The coffee was filled consistently by the waitress. We had leftovers to take away. Canât go wrong eating here.

On Friday, July 12, at 1:00 p.m., our party of 10 had lunch outside on the third level. Our waiter was Ben. I can't begin to express the service we received. Ben was personable, attentive and one of the best waiters ever. Our party ordered a variety of food and drinks, all of which were fantastic. However, Ben is what made our luncheon so enjoyable. He was there every time someone had a request. Thank you Ben. The Windrift is lucky to have you.Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We are so glad that you were happy with your server, Ben and will be sure to share this with his manager.

Rick and Sue's adventure on 7 Mile Island began 27 years ago when they took over the Fishin' Pier Grille located on 32nd Street in Avalon. The husband and wife duo's love affair with restaurants still runs strong after all these years as they continuously
A little hard to find, but we did after driving for 5 hours over night. We were hungry and ready for some really good chow. After reading stellar reviews, we were actually a bit disappointed. We were there early so it wasnât crowded, but it filled up quick. My eggs were over cooked and my bacon undercooked in my omelet, the home fries were good. The blueberry pancakes were fair. Our waitress was fair, not personal or seemed like she enjoyed her job. Maybe an off day. It got very crowded and very loud very quick. Itâs a very small place so it gets very tight. It is cash only. There were a lot of flies all over the place, especially on the tables (this completely grossed me out.) this was our first experience on our first trip to Avalon. We ate at their sister restaurant in Stone Harbor and it was far better.

We had a nice relaxing, casual dinner here and hope to go back soon. The fish and chips were delicious with a wonderful fried batter. The french dip sandwich was also very good. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times this season and each experience has been delightful. The service is some of the best on the island and the food superb. The char grilled octopus and the grilled artichokes are some of our favorite appetizers. The pan seared scallops and pan seared halibut seem to be our go to selections for entrees. We rarely have room for the homemade peanut butter pie but will attempt to save room on our next visit which will likely be soon. The only negative would be the noise level but if one dines early, this should not be an issue.

The seafood we use is the freshest and locally caught. We offer mako, swordfish, flounder and scallops when in season from our local fishermen. We use only jumbo lump crabmeat. Saturday night our prime rib is certified black angus. All soups are made from
Weâve been to Menz several times with family (not my choice!). I do not understand the fascination with this place. The food is overpriced and nothing special. The service was spotty at best-as if they did not have sufficient waitstaff. The portions are decent but for the price should be more. The decor is very eclectic...like someone took an antique store and blended it with your crazy uncleâs taxidermy collection (do you really want a deer or moose mounted on the wall, staring at you as you eat?). The gift/candy shop was nice-kids and adults will get a kick out of the âpenny candyâ. I get it that this establishment is a long time fixture in Cape May County (hence the multiple pictures of FDR). I guess everyone needs to go once for the experience. Do so, and then move on. And try not to be freaked out by the two-headed goat.
