Whether you are looking for sun-drenched beaches or outdoor activities in beautiful countryside, New Jersey has plenty to offer. Those who love the great outdoors should head for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which runs along the Delaware River for forty miles. Here you can go rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking or fishing, or simply admire the stunning waterfalls. There is a huge range of hiking trails to choose from as well as historic sites to visit. In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing near Blue Mountain Lakes, and birdwatchers might be lucky enough to catch sight of bald eagles. If you are looking for a change, visit one of New Jersey's eleven lighthouses that are open to public, such as the one in Cape May. For art and history enthusiasts, New Jersey State Museum in Trenton has historic artifacts and American fine art from the nineteenth century to the present day as well as a Planetarium.

Nice but poor maintenace. Walls repainted with mismatched color. Shower needs caulk. Internet did not work. Not many amenities. Patio door requires magic to lock. Bathrooms for outside are not ADA acessible. SUCKS. Old and needs update.

Pros: Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, use of Aztec/American Safari facilities, reasonable rates. Cons: Tiny shower, front rooms would benefit from air conditioning. If you need more than a motel room or efficiency unit, the Buttercup Suites has you covered. Because it's owned by the same folks as the Aztec and American Safari on the next block, you get the same friendly and reliable service as well as use of their two pools. Our unit had two bedrooms (each with a queen bed) as well as a living room with a fold-out bed- perfect for our group. There was also a kitchenette with a full-sized fridge- a welcome touch. The bathroom had been recently remodeled, but that didn't remedy the small shower. It's probably worth noting there isn't a tub, as is the case in most Wildwood motel rooms. It's also worth noting the building only has four units, so it's very quiet. The beds were comfortable, parking was easy (each unit has two assigned spaces), and the location close to the beach and boardwalk couldn't be any better. Despite the spacious accommodations, rates were very reasonable (something common to its sister properties, which is one of the reasons why we love them). Complaints are minor, like window blinds that don't do a great job of blocking the morning sun, and a living room (third bedroom) that would benefit from another air conditioning unit (the two bedrooms had small window units that don't do much for the one room without A/C). It's far from the most luxurious place on the island, but Buttercup works well if you need space to spread out.

Step back into the Victorian Period at "The Puffin”, one of Cape May's most historic and distinctive Victorian properties located in the heart of Cape May’s Historic District. “The Puffin” is centrally located on historic Jackson Street, just a half block from the beach and only a few steps from the Washington Mall's fine shops and restaurants of Cape May. The Puffin Victorian suites has a unique architectural Dutch Colonial design. Relax on our wraparound veranda while reading a book, surfing the internet or enjoying your favorite beverage. Enjoy the historic ambiance, watching horse drawn carriages and trolley cars as they pass down Jackson Street. Whether you plan your journey sight-seeing, escape to the beach, shop, bike or relax, the Puffin is the perfect location for an exciting Cape May adventure. We are child and family friendly.
The Puffin Terrace Suite is situated a block away from downtown and about 2 blocks from the beach. Location wise, it doesn't get better than that! Parking in the back was tight but a free parking permit at a nearby lot (about 10 min walk or less) is included. The suite was clean, nicely updated and well stocked with kitchen essentials. There is only 1 bathroom so depending on group size might be a little tight but otherwise is totally manageable. The owners were so nice and great with answering any questions you might have. I really can not emphasize how lovely my time here was even with the poor weather while I was in Cape May. Highly, highly recommend!

Super clean, amazing location and probably the best value in Beach Haven! Stumbled across this place fortunately through a friend...I can't recommend enough. It is pretty expensive to stay in Beach Haven...but this is a better value than any!

We stayed at Surfside Suites over Columbus Day Weekend because we were attending a wedding at the Yacht Club. It was very clean and close to all the attractions. We are hoping to come again next year in the fall, it was our first time in Sea Isle. I am not sure about the parking during peak season, but we had no difficulty in the fall. The owner Anne was very nice on the phone and promptly answered emails and also the manager who suggested a few restaurants. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel it may not be for you but everything met our expectations and we would have no problem returning.

Unit 224. Stayed in Sept, 2019, great beach front view for sun rises, great patio right out front door for sitting, but a little confused by conflicting check in process as we were told to pick up parking permit, sign voucher and get unit access key at front office only to find that the office was closed on all days except Friday and Saturday but we were checking in on Tuesday! Spent an hour on the phone trying a variety of numbers to resolve issue. Owner’s voice mail box full and not accepting new messages but was able to receive an email to resolve issue for us by sending us updated check-in process info. Also found 2 used bathroom wash clothes and trash on bath counter upon arrival- not happy since we were asked to pay a cleaning fee but bathroom wasn’t spotless for us when we checked in- maybe just poor cleaning service. Very beachy decor, small kitchen, and had a 2-person dining table. Lighting in single bedroom unit was somewhat dim as no bedroom windows for natural light. Had allot of extras for comfort but really, location right on the beach was the highlight. 2nd Tv in the bedroom was a nice touch. Bring your own linens and bath towels. Access to 3 bikes a nice touch! Building was a typical multiple story concrete structure with balcony walkways but owner took allot of time to give the unit’s decor and extra’s a real beachy feel. 2 pools., but only 1 parking space per unit. A/c unit very high up on living room wall and difficult to reach to change temperature settings.

Located just one block from the famous Boardwalk and Morey’s Piers, Tuscany Condo Resort features a large private pool, two sun decks, and parking. Whether you relax at the hotel or go to the expansive Wildwood Beaches, your Jersey Shore vacation is waiting for you at the Tuscany Condo Resort.
Following a miserable experience at a neighboring motel at 19th & Surf last year, our group crossed the street to stay at the Tuscany this year. This was an old Wildwood motel that was converted to a condo resort, but still has the look and feel of a Doo Wop motel. As a condo resort, there is no staff on site 24x7, nor is there any housekeeping. However, as long as you don't mind making your own bed, this is far from a problem, and maintenance staff is on call should you run into any issues. Our group stayed in Room 101, which was the apartment used by the old owners of the property. The 'room' consists of a living room with a fireplace, a gigantic well appointed kitchen, and 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Our group paid less to stay here for a longer period of time than we did when we stayed across the street. The apartment could use a little updating, but given the price that we paid for our stay, it was a great value. It was also a pleasant change of pace from our stay last year across the street where the hotel staff was overbearing and imposing on our activities during our stay. I would recommend the Tuscany if you are looking to stay in that part of North Wildwood.
