We enjoyed a late breakfast today at The City Room Cafe. There was a wait for a table and the place is small; a few tables outside which is nice! We sat inside and were waited on right away. The waitress was super pleasant and the service was very efficient and friendly. We both got omelettes and agreed they were the best we've ever had! The vegetables were very fresh and all of the food is fresh as well and made from scratch. The building is old but quaint with exposed brick walls and artwork displayed (and for sale by) local artists. They serve breakfast and lunch and the menu offers variety, We will be back!!!
While visiting the Nashua-Hudson area and a sibling said I had to try this place before returning home. He said the place was great and inexpensive. When a place gets a build-up like that, it's hard to live up to it. But with Mike's, it exceeded all my expectations. I tried two types of pizza: the signature "Sweet Sicilian" which was amazingly unique (the sauce is wonderful) and the Meat Lovers which was also great--especially the Italian sausage. Sometimes Meat Lover pizzas can be too greasy or soggy. But the crust on this one was terrific. We also tried the Buffalo Wings and they were amazing. Mike told me (he came by our table to see how we were doing) that he uses free range chicken. The handcut fries (yes, I ate a lot that evening) were superb as well. The ambience is homey and informal. You could actually hear one another speak. My highest praise is that I wish there was a place like this where I live. I'd be a regular.

What A Bagel is a non-franchised local bagel and coffee shop. We provide made to order bagel sandwiches, bagels and locally roasted New England Coffee. We offer a large selection of delicious hand rolled, boiled bagels that are baked fresh each day. You c
First I want to say that this is a brand new bagel shop so working out bugs is to be expected, so keep that in mind. Now, the food...the bagels are wonderful! My toasted sesame bagel with honey walnut cream cheese was scrumptious. Hubby said his cinnamon raisin with plain cream cheese was good too...and he liked the fact that they cut the bagel in half after preparing it. Made it so much easier to eat. The coffee was also very good - not outstanding, but good. You are given a cup of black coffee and then you "dress" it the way you want at a side buffet. I did have to ask the staff person to pour out a bit as there wasn't room for cream, etc. No problem. The biggest problem right now is the wait time. From the time we walked in, stood in line, ordered and got our food was a full 20 minutes. If you're on the way to work in the morning that's way too long. Like I said this is a new place and they are still working things out. Let's hope they find a way to speed that wait time up, especially when the person taking your order and processing your payment is also taking BIG orders over the phone. You wait while he does that. For people who just want a bag of bagels they too have to wait until all those in front of them get their sandwiches, etc. Seems to me there should be one person who can take phone orders and also bag orders of just bagels, so those dashing in for bagels for a meeting, say, can dash right back out. Just a thought to speed everything up a bit. Also, since this is a small place with just a few tables, waiting for your order to go means having to stand around - in front of the coffee bar - in front of the trash can - taking up chairs and tables - you get the picture. Moving around inside on a crowded morning can be challenging. And then there's the parking - it's off to the side of the building - no parking right in front. And since they share a parking lot with Meineke's car serving garage, that lot is always crowded. Plus when we left a big semi (for Meineke's) was unloading right behind all the cars so we were stuck till he finished and moved...not good on a workday morning. Finally - play some different music inside. Why oh why do businesses think they need to play rock music, especially early in the morning? How about some easy listening, instead? Something calming to eat by would be nice.So with all this said, these issues are fixable, at least to some degree and I hope they get taken care of. Being off Main St, by a few blocks means less foot traffic and more car traffic. You've got to make it easier to park. What the solution is, however, I don't know. But the bagels are wonderful! and the staff making the food very friendly!!

I really want small, local restaurants to succeed and I was very disappointed when my favorite lunch spot for soup and sandwiches in Nashua closed. I read about Terragia, it sounded great, so I invited two friends to join me there for lunch. The decor is clean and the plants are a plus, giving a very serene and peaceful vibe. My friend and I entered and sat to wait for our other friend. We were not acknowledged in any way by the staff. When we went to the counter to order the person taking our order was not helpful or welcoming. We had quiche and salad which were excellent. The latte I ordered was good. At no time were we approached to ask if we were enjoying our meal. If you want to make a go of it in the restaurant business, I think you have to at least pretend to care about your customer. I thought I would give it another try because I did like the food, but friends reported the same experience as mine, so I do not feel inclined to return. Great concept, poor execution.

Stopped in for lunch as I was in the area for work. Great menu with a variety of lunch choices (sandwiches, salads, pizza, soupsmade with fresh and locally sourced seasonal ingredients. No deli meat -- the turkey in my sandwich was fresh roasted and hand carved in house, the bacon is nitrate free and the greens are hydroponic and fresh. I had the Lunch Pick Two (1/2 Sandwich or 1/2 Salad or Small Soup for $10): The Gate City Club [House Roasted Turkey, Local Smoked Bacon, Hydroponic Greens, Tomato and Mayonnaise on Multigrain Bread] with the soup of the day, Lamb Chili. Both were delicious-- fresh, fresh, fresh and the lamb chili was so flavorful and tasty. Came with a pickle and house fried Maine potato chips. Comfortable space in downtown Nashua building, lots of natural light with windows on 2 sides. Learn more on their website citymoosenh.com
