Well I walked in the door I sat there there was two waitresses on no one even said a word to me so after 10 minutes I left...... my guess is a lot of the so-called good reviews are people that work there are regulars because I didn't even get a chance to try the food and the service was so bad

The Everyday Cafe is not large but it is full of entertaining decorations. That is the least of the reasons to eat there. More importantly, the menu had a good selection of interesting items at very reasonably prices. Our lunches were excellent. We enjoyed the barbecue flavors imparted by the grill that was busy outside. Furthermore, the service was friendly and efficient. Yes, I would certainly go back.

Had the best breakfast ever at the School House Cafe. I ordered a 3 egg omelette with spinach and mushrooms. The special of the day was biscuits and sausage gravy so I asked if I could get some gravy on the side to put atop my omelette. What a great pairing. The omelette had fresh spinach and fresh mushrooms and a tasty cheese. The gravy on top was the crowning glory, DELICIOUS. My wife had the breakfast Burrito which also contained fresh ingredients which she raved about. Homemade breads gave several toast options and again was delicious. The home fries were and added bonus. If your traveling I-89 take exit 7 and go a half a mile. You will not be disappointed.

Comparing to Kimballs in Jaffrey NH. Food has great taste (whether seafood or otherwise, Ive gotten almost everything of menu) portions are smaller than kimballs but you still leave full in my experience. Ice cream is good but not as creamy as Kimballs. Smaller portion of ice cream than kimballs but if we are honest here kimballs servings are monsterous. Basically the only reason i gave 4 stars is because of their soups, chowders, and bisque. They are NOT rich and creamy. They are thin. Instead of using a roux its like they just poured milk in and said done! When I said it was not what I was expecting the girl at the counter was told to tell me that the soups are milk based and will have that texture (saw a grown man mumbling to her instead of talking to me himself) the flavor was also lacking in the haddock soup, clam chowder, and the bisque (can not remember what flavor I ordered because it was so bland)They have a playground!Every Wednesday in the summer is CRUISE NIGHT where antique vehicles get displayed and if you have one you get 50% off one item of food!

We waited 5 minutes to be sat, then 15 minutes and NOBODY came to our table. We left and nobody noticed or cared. Bad service!

The center of Henniker offers two pizza places and Daniel's. What Daniel's has is an excellent view of the river, which is beautiful. The service is always competent. I go there several times a year, but not for the food, but rather for the convenience, and because it isn't pizza. There is a wide menu, but I rarely RARELY have anything other than the house salad and the clam chowder. If I want a rich, flavorful, meal, go the Colby Hill Inn, right there in Henniker, the Waterhouse in Peterborough, or even Nicola's in Keene, but not Daniel's. By the way, the chowder is excellent. (I think there may be bacon in it. Non-meat eaters be forewarned.) Enjoying Daniel's is all about managing your expectations. If you go, go for the view, for the chance to sit with friends; order simple dishes. Again, manage your expectations.

The food was excellent, interesting and varied menu, great service, and wonderfully quiet and great atmosphere. I had the chicken specialty which was superb, nice touches like a free appetizer to start, one of the best Cesar salads I've had,and wonderful service. We topped off by having after dinner drinks outside in their beautiful garden patio sitting around the fire pit. Will definitely go back for more !

Met friends for lunch...restaurant was quite busy with an older crowd...like me! Tavern seemed to have regulars for lunch. Menu was varied and more than satisfactory for my vegetarian friends. We were assured seafood was fresh each day. They particularly like the seafood chowder that day. I loved my oysters! Fresh and perfectly served. All entrees were very good...eggplant parm and a blackened salmon salad. Wait staff cheery, energetic and helpful. All agreed weâd return

Good breakfast but nothing extraordinary. My pancakes werenât fully cooked in the middle so that was a waste. Might eat there again, not sure.
