We spent 2 weeks in the Villa Azur and it had all that one needed for a self-catering holiday. Having a vehicle to get around helped, but the supermarket is well within walking distance (although not many people seemed to walk in NC). We found most people in the shops could understand some english. One tip, shower in the evening when the hot water is really hot from the solar water panels on the roof and you can turn the cold water up; then pressure in the shower is more reasonable. Also think about how you will pay the balance of your bill if you have just pre-paid the deposit. We withdrew cash via our VISA card to pay in SPF's and that was fine.

This place has no more the interest it had before : no more access to the "grand faré" near the sea, with a beautiful view, and BBQ facilities, and no possibility to have local meal served anymore. Quiet but not so as you can hear the noise of the houses near the gite (loud music, voices...), no view from the bungalow...much too expensive for the interest.

Nous n'aurions pas pu choisir un meilleur endroit pour passer le premier week-end de déconfinement ! Thank you Nathalie and Pierre for an excellent weekend ‘au soleil’. You were such thoughtful and welcoming hosts; taking great care in making sure my partner and I made the most of our weekend at Poé during our extended stay in New Caledonia. Well equipped bungalows, quiet and calm location and a great pool for relaxing and reading. We would love to return!!
