Conveniently located on Bayside Drive in Saint John NewBrunswick; directly off the mile one interchange. We're on the left next to the middle school. Ocean blue siding accents our exterior, and we're pleased to offer a truly authentic Atlantic Canadian at
Stopped in Sunday and ordered 2 Two piece Fish + Chips meals. FANTASTIC!!! Came piping hot. Lots of fries (Great, by the way) and 2 LARGE pieces if fish. The food was GREAT!! Not greasy. The tartar sauce + coleslaw were a nice compliment to the meal. The service was also very good. This was our first visit to Downhome Fish and Chips but it won't be our last. Small but good atmosphere. Nice "Atlantic" music. SUPER SERVICE!! THANK YOU!! We'll be back!

We were looking for a âdinerâ for some home cooking and homey environment. We found it. The owner Marge was super friendly. We had pancakes, poached eggs, home fries, English muffins. Fast service and great food! AND reasonably priced. About 7 miles from downtown St. Johnâs. Worth the effort to drive there. Nice experience.

Small cafe located in the Park Plaza Motel. All home style cooking and everything made from scratch. Breakfast all day.
If you are looking for a great breakfast away from the over priced tourist area then look no further. K's East Side Cafe serves home cooking in a friendly atmosphere. The staff is so friendly and answered all our questions we had about the area. The food was plentiful and very reasonable. It doesn't look like much on the outside, it's part of a run down motel. Don't let that steer you away. Take a chance and enjoy the best breakfast in St. John!

Iconic 1950s style diner in the heart of Saint John. A small âcash onlyâ version of the diner on the Seinfeld TV show. A place with a friendly retro atmosphere, where in 2017, you can still order up a generous serving of liver and bacon or a politically incorrect hot pork sandwich. Unfortunately, the quality of the food varies from item to item and time to time, and it would also seem that pre-frozen french fries and âgeneric gravyâ have become house staples. A recent breakfast that my partner and I had there was a real bummer: lifeless egg and bacon sandwiches, a few flavorless scraps of potato, and watered-down coffee. Still, Tops remains an essential experience for Saint John residents and visitors alike.
