Reviews on Cafe food in Sparks, Nevada, United States. Along the Truckee River in the tranquil Truckee Meadow is fast-growing Sparks, Nevada, Reno's less flamboyant neighbor to the east. Although home to only one high rise casino, Sparks offers visitors other pleasures with live festivals and events in open air venues, a lively farmers' market, a multiplex theater and less pricey accommodations than its high-rolling neighbor. Its proximity to both Reno's casinos and Lake Tahoe makes Sparks a perfect destination for a Northern Nevada Vacation.

I had the chicken and waffles at the Grand Cafe. The chicken was hot, tasty, and crispy. The waffles were light and fluffy inside while crispy outside. The service was very good

Locally owned and operated cafe serving freshly prepared comfort food for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy a warm and cozy environment to plant yourself. Curb your appetite or warm your heart while plugging into our free Wi-Fi!
There is nothing elegant about homestyle breakfast, but that's exactly how it is supposed to be! The food is great - fresh omelettes, benedicts, and pastries. This place is small inside, so larger groups may find it difficult to eat here, but the service was friendly the entire time we were there!

I want to thank the previous reviewers of this place. We were in town for a quick overnight stop en route to somewhere else but wanted a good breakfast. This place was pretty close to our hotel and hit the spot. Their take on eggs benedict was really good - would gladly stop here again

Inside John Asquagua's Nugget Casino.
It seems like it depends on what day you come in. Today is Friday morning and breakfast sucks!!! No consitcey yesterday was good . Egg were scrambled way over cooked and the bacon looks like it's been sitting all night. If I had Time I would send it back. Very poor.

As soon as you walk in, your senses are on high alert. You hear a noisy friendly place. You smell, hunger inducing, breakfast foods being cooked. You see a bright clean setting, then you notice mountainous plates of food go by. Could they get anymore food on those plates? Probably not. The booth we had felt comfortable and the silverware had a nice heavy feel to it. Very quickly our friendly server brought our piping hot food served on large heavy plates. Then to taste. I had the Ham & eggs and my spouse had the Country Fried Steak & eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The huge pieces of meat were very good. The meals were served with a plate long side of buttery hash browns. Plus, Unlimited, like you could ever eat more, soft and thick toast. Adorned with a full size slice of melon, the presentation made us chuckle at the task ahead of us. That was, trying to eat all of this food. Our meals were $10.99 each, but we sure didnât need lunch later. I had the fresh squeezed orange juice, my partner a cup of coffee. Both got high marks on temperature and taste.

Come here if you are hungry and enjoy hearty breakfasts and satisfying lunches. Friendly, welcoming staff in a classic diner setting. Clean and comfortable. Efficient and quick service, Meals are prepared right and the portions are generous. For breakfast I go for the Belgian waffles or cinnamon-raisin French toast. The corned beef hash and eggs to order is another favorite. Their giant breakfast burrito is enormous and so tasty. Design your own omelette or indulge in a classic country style meat eaters plate. For lunch there is a large variety of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, fish & chips, and chili. They have a Senior's menu and a Kid's menu too. Plenty of off street parking, clean restrooms, booth seating or at the counter. Near Sparks' Victorian Square and Rail City Casino. Modest and reasonable prices.
