Along the Truckee River in the tranquil Truckee Meadow is fast-growing Sparks, Nevada, Reno's less flamboyant neighbor to the east. Although home to only one high rise casino, Sparks offers visitors other pleasures with live festivals and events in open air venues, a lively farmers' market, a multiplex theater and less pricey accommodations than its high-rolling neighbor. Its proximity to both Reno's casinos and Lake Tahoe makes Sparks a perfect destination for a Northern Nevada Vacation.

The folks at Black Bear Diner understand that visitors to our incredible city, and many residents, focus on spending time at the casinos. But that doesnât mean they donât need a great place to eat! Our wonderful staff is prepared to serve the very best fo
This restaurant was recommended to us from a Reno local as we traveled in from South Carolina. It was a very good choice and we really enjoyed our food. During the next 5 days we ate at 3 different locations of the Black Bear Cafe and had good meals at each one.

We were in the area and thought we would check this place out. It is located inside Baldini's Casino. It was not very busy inside and there were a lot of tables open. But there still was a brief wait to be seated. It was about 10am on a Saturday. They have a good selection of menu options and the prices are cheap. Our drink and food orders were taken quickly after being seated. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito and I chose to try the hot pastrami sandwich. The place started to fill up as we sat there. Our food was delivered rather quickly and looked good. Nothing was spectacular but it was decent. If you're looking for basic cheap food this foots the bill. But it's not going to blow your socks off.Our total cost including tip was $16 and change.

We decided earlier that we were gonna eat on Grand Sierra Hotel property (Saturday nights are so busy when attending a furry convention, especially one like 'Biggest Little Furry Con' - 'Top 3' convention of its kind worldwide). We decided to set up a meeting group of younger and Greymuzzle furries for dinner at 'Johnny Rockets' before suiting up for a long and festive Sat. Night 05/18/19 into early Sun. Morning 05/19/19. I had the BBQ-Ranch Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries and Ice Water. It was delicious, as it was my only meal of the day!!! My friends enjoyed their entrees as well. It's a tradition of my friends who've attended BLFC in the past to eat here (This was my first time attending BLFC in 2019) So, I can now say I've had Johnny Rockets with the other fluffbutts!!! Our waitress was always prompt with great service. Overall, despite the dining room being very crowded - it was a very good experience. FIVE CLAWS UP!!!!! Furry Friendly. Thanks for reading my review of 'Johnny Rockets' at GSR during BLFC '19. Joe G. Bear - Redondo Beach, CA

For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca
Everyone works hard at this restaurant to take care of their customers. They really hustle, so service is super quick. Our meal arrived sooner than we expected. The only real negative is that the decaf coffee was not hot enough. We also did not find the cheaper "dollar" menu until after we had ordered or we could have saved some a few dollars.

As soon as you walk in, your senses are on high alert. You hear a noisy friendly place. You smell, hunger inducing, breakfast foods being cooked. You see a bright clean setting, then you notice mountainous plates of food go by. Could they get anymore food on those plates? Probably not. The booth we had felt comfortable and the silverware had a nice heavy feel to it. Very quickly our friendly server brought our piping hot food served on large heavy plates. Then to taste. I had the Ham & eggs and my spouse had the Country Fried Steak & eggs. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The huge pieces of meat were very good. The meals were served with a plate long side of buttery hash browns. Plus, Unlimited, like you could ever eat more, soft and thick toast. Adorned with a full size slice of melon, the presentation made us chuckle at the task ahead of us. That was, trying to eat all of this food. Our meals were $10.99 each, but we sure didnât need lunch later. I had the fresh squeezed orange juice, my partner a cup of coffee. Both got high marks on temperature and taste.

Come here if you are hungry and enjoy hearty breakfasts and satisfying lunches. Friendly, welcoming staff in a classic diner setting. Clean and comfortable. Efficient and quick service, Meals are prepared right and the portions are generous. For breakfast I go for the Belgian waffles or cinnamon-raisin French toast. The corned beef hash and eggs to order is another favorite. Their giant breakfast burrito is enormous and so tasty. Design your own omelette or indulge in a classic country style meat eaters plate. For lunch there is a large variety of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads, fish & chips, and chili. They have a Senior's menu and a Kid's menu too. Plenty of off street parking, clean restrooms, booth seating or at the counter. Near Sparks' Victorian Square and Rail City Casino. Modest and reasonable prices.

A little noisy. Typical diner feel. Food was good, but my order was wrong. I ordered an egg white omelette with spinach only and a small side of bacon. I got an egg white omelette with cheese and chopped bacon in it. Every time coffee was refilled, we had to remind our server that we had decaf coffee. It is located just down the street from Northern Nevada Hospital so itâs a convenient place to go if you have someone at the hospital. Also close to Legends mall and Sparks Marina.

... to a member of this chain was outstanding. The service was friendly, personalized, and efficient. Comfort food is the specialty of the house. Portions are huge, and even the "Little Less" selections can provide two meals for all but the most hungry.
