Stopped in at Jimmy Johns to try their sandwiches after questions from friends as to whether we had ever eaten there. Finding the place was a bit frustrating as the GPS in the car kept sending us elsewhere and they are located in a place where you have to wind through another business's parking lot. However, once there, we walked in and our order was quickly taken. They have the menu on the wall which shows 17 sandwiches, various sides, as well as catering information. As people came in and started lining up behind us, we both quickly chose the 'Vito' ($5.25), chips and sodas. 'Vito's' are italian subs with salami, capicola, provolone, along with onions, lettuce, tomato, and a vinaigrette dressing on a French loaf. My wife, who hates onions requested that they be removed and as the menu states, to please add hot peppers to both. When we got our sandwiches, neither had onions, and the hot peppers only appeared on one sandwich. We thought about returning them to be corrected, but by then the place was very busy and we decided to just go ahead and eat what we had. The bread was not as soft as we thought it should have been and the extremely thin amount of meats and cheeses left you mostly eating....bread with a lackluster Italian dressing. We discovered later that the first 6 sandwiches (of which the Vito was one) were different from the following 11 due to the quantity of meat. The last 11 had 'double' the and the Vito was included, only now it was called the 'Italian Night Club'. It was only a dollar more ($6.25) and if I had known that, I would have probably ordered it and been happier. Based on our experience, in the future, we wouldn't go out of our way to find a Jimmy John's. Instead, we would be searching for a Togo's or even a Subway. Much better.

Although this is a chain submarine sandwich restaurant, to me it tastes very much like the sub shop that I went to in my youth. I enjoy watching the meats and cheeses being sliced in front of me and the sandwiches put together with some care. I like that they have two different kinds of lettuce (romaine and iceberg) to choose from. I usually just order the number one because it is delicious but in time I will try some of the other sandwiches as well.
