Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Reno. Nevada's "other" gambling and resort town, Reno is located in the western part of the state near the California border. What the city lacks in glitz or reputation it more than makes up for in attractions and amenities. There are first-rate hotels, golf courses and casinos to rival its southern counterpart and, also like Las Vegas, Reno has become a popular destination for families. Galena Creek Park offers nature trails that even young children can navigate, plus organized educational events for families.

After more than ten visits to Sardina's Italian restaurant, I'm ready to review them. Not once has a visit been anything less than four-star with excellent food, which is why I think the cosy family-style setting and unpolished decor may be holding them back. The food menu offers a wide selection of dishes and seasonal specials are added all the time, while the wine menu is surprisingly large and full of familiar names. They also offer several house wines by the glass, as well.Reservations are accepted, and they've been able to accommodate parties as large as ten people in my visits. Even with large groups, the service never waned and the bread or water was always promptly refilled.More than anything, I like how reasonable the prices are. You really can't have a bad meal there, but my favorites would have to be the Chicken Saltimbocca or Lasagna.I highly recommend you check out this well-kept local secret.Hi Olin!Your review makes me smile. Thank you so much for taking the time and saying such nice comments about our quaint establishment. Hope to see you soon.Susan Sardina

I recently went to the Cafe Alfresco for lunch with some friends and we had outstanding service. Debra Marshall was our server and she provided excellent customer service, offering suggestions on meal items and was always attentive to our needs as well as other customers sitting in her section. We will definitely be back to Cafe Alfresco soon.

Had the clapping and it was very good. In addition to scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, and calamari, this dish had salmon and bass. Location is superb in terms of view. Menu was a little sparse, but food was good. Cream brûlée was creamy. Ambiance good.

My family loved this restaurant and it was their favourite in Reno. The service is great and the choice of pizzas is quite varied. Some traditional recipes and some unique - pizza with lemon and honey was delicious! Great place!

As a native New Yorker, nothing satisfies my occasional nostalgia for the old neighborhood like a good Italian meal. You can find no finer example than Mario's Portofino - a warm friendly environment with authentic cuisine that will entice the palate. The POLENTA CASARECCIA is nothing short of sublime. For an extra thrill - sit at the bar and let Paul serve you a side of friendly conversation with your meal. He will soon introduce you to all the regulars and you will leave with new friends as well as fine dining experience. A truly wonderful place!

Campo is a neighborhood restaurant, a gathering place, where the team works tirelessly to create authentic Italian dishes from fresh, local, seasonal ingredients.
A Friday night visit with good friends and a warm welcome at Campo awaited. There is a good selection of beers and I hit upon a superb ichthyosaurus ale.The starters came and were very nice...a sharing selection of which I loved the spicy cauliflower.Main courses were next and were the disappointment. Donât get me wrong, by no means bad, they just couldnât live up to the starters and were nothing special. Over cooked in places and the base just needs to be looked at as it wasnât the easiest to eat.The waitress did offer for my friend to have her pizza redone as the edge had burnt but the kind offer was declined. With a little bit of tweaking, this lovely place by the river could be special.

What a great evening was had last night as we enjoyed a delicious Italian meal. Johnnyâs is locally owned by Louis a second-generation. You might even see Louis sharing smiles and enjoying chatting with the guests. The wine extensive selection is exceptional with domestic and foreign vineyards. The menu has something for everyone and the house-made desserts will complete your visit to Johnnyâs Ristoriante Italiano.I loved my pasta and we even ordered a steak to bring home. Oh my goodness this is a must for visitors and locals.A #abouttowndeb favorite.

At Romanza Ristorante in the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, you'll dine on exquisite Italian cuisine, including many wood-fired specialties, beneath softly glowing torches while overhead, the sky scene drifts from starry twilight to a delicately lighted da
The space isn't Rome, it isn't Florence . . . it's Disney-esque Faux Chic! It becomes a sore spot when the service and food don't cut the mustard either! We're locals and met friends who were stayining the hotel.Service was mediocre as was the the food. I'd be scrambling to write something positive. The prices were a bit high based on the preceding sentences!

Had dinner there last evening; celebrating a friend's birthday. My friend's ordered plates of pasta and I never saw so much pasta in a plate, it could have served all of us at the table. My friend's remarked how delicious the food was. My husband and I had the Salmon and it was also delicious served with a vegetable and potatoes. The waiter brought some Tiramisu for the birthday boy with a candle on top. It was a great dinner and we walked out with full tummies.Hello,Happy belated birthday for your friend and we so appreciate you choosing our La Strada for the birthday celebration. So stoked that you all had a great meal with your tummies were quite full.Super cool and thank you,THE ROW Family
