We stopped at noon on Saturday to pickup a quick lunch on our way to Las Vegas and ten minutes later we were on our way .The service was very quick and our order was prepared as ordered by a very friendly and efficient server. Thank you for your good service. We have always ordered our meat combos with sub sauce which is foreign to Americans as the server asked, are you from Canada? We settled for a mustard mayo dressing which was very good.

Old restaurant now incorporated into the Ramada but open to the public. It's listed on many other review sites like Yelp and Google
Had an occasion to eat at Evah's while we stayed at the hotel attached to it and was pleased to note that they served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was included with the cost of our hotel room and included the usual offerings: cold cereal, a small steam tray with scrambled eggs and a few other edibles, hard boiled eggs, waffles or pancakes, donuts/Danish/toast, juices, coffee and tea. Breakfast meats and potatoes varied with the days - sometimes sausage, sometimes ham. The night we arrived at the hotel, the front desk lady told us that Evah's (upstairs) was due to close in 15 minutes. We hurried up and were able to order some sandwiches and soft drinks off their regular menu, before the kitchen closed for the night.Tired and hungry, we were grateful that they allowed us to order. The menu, while not all that extensive, was complete enough to offer burgers, a chicken-bacon-ranch panini and some Italian foods such as spaghetti and pizza. Service was fairly quick. The tables were readily cleaned and our request for extra napkins was fulfilled promptly. On the down side, though, there is not adequate ventilation to remove the copious amounts of cigarette smoke from the casino activity on the first floor, since the restaurant is on the balcony above all the action. For non-smokers such as myself and my traveling companion, this was off-putting. Even in the morning at breakfast, the tell-tale odor of cigarette smoke was prevalent. If you don't mind that stuff, then you will feel at home right here.

My family of four ate here just before closing time after a long drive in from Reno and were very satisfied with our choice. The staff was quick and friendly and the pizza and salad were tasty. They even had a decent selection of beer on the menu. We definitely give this place a thumbs up!

We were traveling thru Ely with our motor home and had spent the night in the horrible Valley View RV Park. We were looking forward to a good hot breakfast, and this seemed like just the place according to previous Trip Advisor reviews. It's now under new ownership, and I don't know if it's going downhill or they just haven't worked out the kinks. The inside of the restaurant is old and beat up, with worn tables and torn seats. Our server was an absolute ditz! She brought one menu, then forgot to bring another. We had to ask for silverware - twice! We asked for water, and she forgot it. She brought coffee, and never brought cream. She then got our order wrong, but I figured by the time she straightened it out it would be dinner time, so I just gave up. My wife liked her meal well enough (Denver omelette), but my bacon and cheese omelette was bland and very average, as were the potatoes. Not a great experience.

The homemade bread is great, and so is the homemade cheesecakes & beautiful cakes, but so are the soups and go without proper mention! Nardiâs soups are thick with wholesome ingredients and the French Onion soup is exceptional. I recommend the cheese, bacon, and berry jam sandwich itâs the best grilled cheese sammich ever!!!

There are a number of reviews for the accommodations at the Hotel Nevada, but none for its restaurant, which is quite good!
We visited this place at night. We mainly wanted to see the casino. There is a Dennys restaurant in the hotel. There were a few people in the casino. But the restaurant was pretty busy. We visited on a Saturday night. Downtown Ely is pretty dark. Parking was a bit of an adventure. You could only go into the parking lanes one way and we ended up the wrong way. Fortunately there was no problem. The hotel is a must see if you visit Ely and you like old unique structures and things.

The Cell Block Steak House is open nightly from 5:00 p.m. Until 9:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
Each table in the restaurant was designed as a jail cell. This provided a very intimate atmosphere. Our meal was delicious! My husband and I (who are seniors) ordered a shrimp appetizer and split an entree of strip steak with salad, vegetables, cowboy beans and twice-baked potato. The waitress brought out our food on two plates. The steak and vegetables were perfectly cooked. For dessert, we split the chocolate hot lava cake. Everything was perfect! The waitress even agreed to take our photo! We are traveling through Ely, so it is unlikely that we will return for awhile, but we definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Based on the trip advisor rating we headed out to All Aboard Cafe. They make no effort to create any atmosphere...you a just jammed in with many tables. The stuffed burgers, raved about on this site are just average. French fries try but fail. Service is friendly and good.
