I stayed at the atmosphere with friends for 5 days - we were a 12 PAX (6 kids and 6 adults). My friends were expecting similar experience as with the Shangri-La, I was not so my feedbacks are fairer! :) The resort is most definitely beautiful, grounds are kept pristine. The 2 main swimming pools were a hit with the kids. Rooms are huge, our bed was very comfy. Housekeeping was OK, but some effort should be made on amenities (for e.g. a 5* should typically provide disposable toiletries such as a toothbrush/toothpaste kit). Food was generally good, varied enough for 5 days but frankly overpriced. If you can, do hire a van/Taxi to go experience food (esp. seafood) in Dumaguete, you won't be disappointed! As for entertainment, the front beach is very nice for relaxing (swimming is rough though ). The resort has a PADI center. Our kids (8-15) got diving lessons with pro instructors who clearly were very good with kids, who had a blast and can't wait to do it again! The bar area was also entertaining, with 1 hour happy hour late afternoon. There is an open gym which is OK. The resorts also organizes some excursions, also grossly overpriced to be frank. Our trip to oslob was not a great experience. Finally, I must say that the service was excellent!. Staff are always pleasant and very responsive to guests' every need. All in all, I would rate our experience as good but not really value for money. But post pandemic, I am glad we did this!

Thalatta Beach & Dive Resort, a resort, hotel, restautant, located 25 kms from Dumaguete, in Maluay, close to Malatapay, Zamboanguita. We are facing Apo Island, one of the most famous diving spots in the Philippines. It only takes 15 minutes to Apo Island from the resort.
I came here for 19 nights to rest up and go diving. The diving is superb - I love macro and am a photographer - some amazing critters to photograph. This is probably one of the all round best diving resorts I have ever been to. It’s not the welcome you receive - although that is excellent. It’s not the quality, furnishings, comfort of the rooms - although that is excellent. It’s not the layout of the resort - with cottages around the excellent pool - although that is excellent. It’s not the amazing restaurant and bar with the most extensive and reasonably priced menu - although that is excellent. It’s not the dive centre with modern equipment, excellent training facilities, convenient rinse tanks, storage area and camera room - although those are excellent. It’s not the dive boats with their spacious facilities and shelter from all weather conditions - although those are excellent. If it was just everything listed above you would give this a 4 or 5 - because everything above is excellent. What makes the difference here is the people. The owner - Patrick shows true leadership - is always around during peak times - waves every boat off, greets them back, always supporting his people. The people genuinely care about you and alter their service to suit your needs. Nothing is too much trouble. It is the people that make the difference here. To Patrick and the the team - I salute you all. What you have created here over 35 years is truly special and unique. Thank you

Mike’s Dauin Dive Resort is a small Hotel and Dive Centre located in Dauin, just 20 minutes south of Dumaguete on Negros Island. Our twelve rooms beautifully are only meters from the beach, as is our lagoon pool complete with waterfall. Our aim is to provide you with the highest quality holiday and diving experience and our comfortable size means we can provide you with a relaxed and intimate resort atmosphere. Most guests board our custom built Banca boats to dive or snorkel the stunning paradise of Apo Island only a short ride away. This premier dive site is one of the oldest and best managed marine sanctuaries in the Philippines. Expect large shoals of fish, many sea turtles and spectacularly colourful coral gardens. Closer still are the dives at Dauin, which are recognised as some of the best macro-photography sites in the Philippines with the chance of meeting Frogfish, Seahorses, Flamboyant Cuttlefish and the famous Blue-ringed Octopus.
Stayed with the whole family and it was simply amazing. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff are amazing, stayed for a week and never get tired of their food. Such a great variety and chef is so nice with all of our kid's extra request. Will definitely stay here again.

Just a thirty-minute drive from the local airport (only a sixty-minute flight from Manila), on a long peaceful stretch of beach, lies the lush and luxurious Atlantis Dive Resort. Surrounded by an amazing tropical garden with some of the rarest plants to be found in the Philippines it is just a short trip to some of the most renowned dive sites in Asia - Apo Island, Siquijor and of course the local Dauin Marine Sanctuaries. Want to explore more of the Philippines why visit our Puerto Galera resort
I've just returned from my second trip to the Atlantis Dumaguete; the last was about 5 years ago. Since then, the resort is even better than it was before ! I brought a group of 4 friends, none of whom had been here before. From the moment of our arrival at the Dumaguete airport, we were treated like VIPS. The grounds are lush, stunning and meticulously groomed. Our rooms were large, spotless, large and well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. I cannot sing the praises of the Atlantis staff loudly enough. Everyone was outgoing, friendly, kind and very competent. They will all know your name by the end of your first day there. The cuisine at the resort restaurant was incredible at every meal. The dive crew were excellent, with a very special shout out to our dive guide Genie, who has the best eyes in the ocean ! The dive crew will handle your gear for you the entire trip, and even wash it for you on your last diving day. You will dive from the traditional Filipino bancas, large and stable in the water, or from smaller covered fast boats. The dive sites (except Apo Island) are all less than 10 minutes from the resort. Dauin is mainly a macro dive area (aka muck) with abundant small and unusual creatures. BE SURE you make the trip over to Apo Island for a day of stunning healthy reefs, hard and soft corals, abundant fish and some turtles. Bring some small bills to buy souvenir shirts from the women who canoe out to the dive boat at lunchtime. This is a VERY well run resort, with managers Kris and Marco actively "hands-on" and engaging with the guests. The Atlantis is truly a 5 star concierge level experience. My friends and and I are already planning our return trip !

Our resort is a private sanctuary where your dream of a relaxing holiday becomes reality. This extraordinary place, apparent at a single glance from any vantage point, is carefully designed and combines with the owner's philosophical principles, so that every guest can settle, even the most restless of souls, and even the most staid and seasoned travellers can find excitement here. If anything truly defines Sea Dream Resorts, it is the value we attach to the treasured memories of our guests in their unparalleled journeys. Building upon our own deeply etched sultan-like experiences as travellers has endowed us with a rich tradition of hospitality and sharing in the capturing and transforming of moments with us into luxury memories for our guests. We believe in expressing a "one team" attitude, with a sharp focus on winning and achieving results, meaning satisfied guests.
we had - up until checking out - a good experience here. however, whilst checking out, the property couldnt get their card reader to work, which apparently necessitated a visit from the very obnoxious owner. due to his own property shortcomings, he felt it necessary to harangue me in the reception area over a bill of less than 6 euro. frankly, having worked in hospitality for over 20 years, i found his tone to be off, to say the least. I wont be back.

Opened in 2015, Salaya Beach Houses offers 9 modern beachfront apartments and penthouses, an infinity 22-meter swimming pool, dedicated dive shop and boat, pool bar, air-conditioned restaurant, yoga, massage, conferencing and workshop facilities. Dahon Restaurant, offers contemporary European and Filipino style cuisine in the conservatory-style setting in the luscious tropical gardens of Salaya Beach Houses.
Food is excellent. Beach has coral reef for snorkeling. Pool side is excellent. Stay is excellent. Just that there is no wifi and bad network signal. The road going inside is rocky. Would go back again soon. Highly recommend. Just fix the wifi.

The well maintained resort with a personal touch is a wonderful place to unwind. If you’re looking for a place to relax, Wellbeach Dive Resort is the place to go.Twenty minutes from Dumaguete center, on the island Negros. (Negros Oriental).
Booked last minute for an overnight to escape the latest brown out, and took advantage of their boat trip to Southern NegOr dive sites which were new to many on-board. Capably managed by the owners Guido and Marevic with a friendly and helpful staff, the food and shakes were great. Room adequate with good water pressure, altho the bed was pretty firm. A pool (billiards) table was a nice addition, altho MacMac is a total pool shark ?

We had a lovely stay here at Villa Pedro, we are recolating to Negros Oriental soon, this was our exploratory trip and the Villa Pedro staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a lovely suite with balcony and views, their restaurant is good and their beer cold, we may be back soon.

Welcome to Antulang! Suspended on ten sprawling hectares of limestone cliffs peppered with a kaleidoscope of bougainvillea blooms, swimming pools and premium rooms are positioned right at the cliffs’ edge, ensuring guests a commanding view of an endless sea, while winding staircases lead directly to a kilometer’s stretch of isolated white sand beach strewn with large, natural rock formations. So on any given evening, let the gentle lapping of waves caressing boulders on the beach lull you to sweet, glorious slumber, and catch up on unhurried, leftover dreams of Antulang...
The only thing good about this resort is the view. The staff there give a whole new meaning to "not available", including all seafood all the restaurant, the gifts shop items on display, basic hot water, regular coffee, even our reservations we arranged weeks before suddenly were no longer available and we had to get a different room. The entire facility is in need of major repairs. We had a list of issues including doors not closing all the way, no hot water, almost half the outside lights being broken, and broken stonework everywhere. The biggest issue we had was the restaurant, with all fish being "not available", the foods not being very good and over priced but there were not a lot of options outside the resort to eat. The "free breakfast" was a choice of 2 dishes and didn't even include coffee. The staff got our food orders incorrect every time we were there and really didn't care that it was wrong. The resort itself was very expensive but really not worth it compared to better facilities in the area. I would suggest a day pass to get the best pictures and views but make sure you bring your own food.

We arrived at this hotel on December 23rd 2019 for a 10 day Christmas and New Year break. On check-in the manager told us that all the staff would be attending the Christmas party and that we would have to look after ourselves,no staff no bar no restaurant nothing. My wife and I could not believe what we were hearing in the end one of the staff volunteered to stay and look after us.The whole 10 days was an absolute nightmare the menu when available was dreadful however the LBM and Diarrhea came free !!!!!!!.I tried to see the owner but he was, like most of the menu, not available.I'm still after all these months waiting for him to contact me and apologize!!!.Don't waste your money staying here.
