Busy location with 4 cars lined up and several customers waiting inside, which will indicate that it is a popular location. We got three breakfast burritos which were good. We will probably stop again and check out lunch items and their pork chili.

My husband and I eat these often! The pork chili flavor is amazing and like gravy! Add rice and they are even better. 5 stars plus.

This is great place to dine when visiting Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Great service, large portions of delicious food, and cold beverages. The Pork Chili is a must and I highly recommend it when visiting the El Charrito Restaurant and Lounge.
Get some of the best fresh fruits in this small hideaway restaurant! Choose from mango's, watermelon, & strawberry's to name a few. Or try the great selection of tacos! They have many other options like: tortas, enchiladas, chilindrina's or guaraches! All of them are GOOD.
This is like the geriatric, coffee-drinking hangout of the town. However, I give them high marks because they have the tastiest and most-affordable biscuits and gravy in town. Plus they carry Gering Bakery doughnuts and rolls.

This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant is inexpensive and delicious. The decor is modest, with about 9-10 tables that sit 2-4 people. The food is the focal point and it is so good and authentic that it attracts a broad base of customers. You can order carry out and many people did just that. Service was friendly and helpful. We will return for sure.

I wasn't expecting much -- we were referred here by another restaurant as they were closing, and picked it because Scottsbluff is known for their Mexican fare. We were surprised, bordering on astonished, at their creativity. Their chips are handmade, with an airy and soft texture that defies being soggy. (A friend tells me she's seen chips like this in Los Angeles, but they might be unique east of the Rockies.)I sampled their best-known dish, the panchos, which puts these chips to good use. Excellent work. Others in our party had more traditional fare, which they also loved. I snagged a friend's sopapilla when she couldn't finish - it was probably the best I've ever had. This is really a gem -- an absolute necessity if you're visiting the area.

The wife and I thought it was time to visit La Bonita for lunch. Our meal was good and authentic Mexican style preparation, based on our experiences out-of-the-country. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as was the other dining room help. The portions were about right and there were no leftovers for a foam box.

I stopped in while visiting family in the area. This place was highly recommended and I cant figure our why. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the food was nothing special. It may be my Texas taste buds but I was not impressed.
