Reviews on American food in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. Named after Abraham Lincoln, this state capital is a great place for children, history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts. Soak in the panoramic view of the city from the observation tower of the 400-foot high capitol building, whose white stone Art Deco spire can be seen from miles around. Then take a tour of the building and its grounds, where you'll find a Lincoln monument created by the same artist who sculpted the famous Lincoln statue in Washington, D.C. While you're on a history roll, visit the Governor's Mansion, whose Georgian Colonial exterior belies the varied architectural styles inside, and be sure to see the collection of dolls representing the state's first ladies dressed in their inaugural gowns. Kids will love the Folsom Children's Zoo & Botanical Gardens, where they can circle the zoo in a miniature train and see over 300 animals living among spectacular gardens. For some outdoor fun, head to one of the city's beautiful parks, the largest of which is Wilderness Park, whose hiking, biking and equestrian trails will keep you on the move for hours.

Rodizio Grill is America's First Brazilian Steakhouse. As Ambassadors of Brazil, we welcome you to our home and invite you to celebrate with us the warmth, Alegria, and abundance of Rodizio Grill's authentic Brazilian dining experience.
Carnivore ParadiseI've been to other Brazilian restaurants before and was surprised by the different offerings at Rodizio. First, service was amazing! We had a large group and there wasn't even a hint of the staff being stressed or overwhelmed. They were friendly and in top of things. The salad bar didn't have the wide variety of options I've seen at other places, but was enough to satisfy. Rodizio had meat options I'd never had at other Brazilian restaurants. Bison, caribou, venison and rattlesnake sausage. Definitely the most affordable Brazilian restaurant I've ever been to. This is a definite must try for meat eaters visiting Lincoln, Nebraska.

We were pleasantly surprised with HopCat with its amusing decor and vast array of beers on tap. We had come from another pub nearby whose beer selection was limited and whose burgers had bizarre and unappetizing flavors. Josh was our extremely helpful waiter who knew the beers and provided good advice. I had a flight of 3, 2 of which were excellent. I had the Buddha Bowl, which was vegetarian and delicious. My husband's burger was perfectly prepared and scrumptious. Definitely recommend HopCat, a standout in this neighborhood filled with pubs..

Cracker Barrel was our choice for dinner while traveling west - and we enjoyed it so much we returned the next morning for breakfast. We love the varied menu options including comfort food right alongside healthier choices. Our favorites? Fried catfish with light breading, Stewartâs root beer, a side of fried apples, yogurt parfait for breakfast....well, you just canât go wrong!

I stopped in here tonight while in the area, it was a close walk from where I was staying. I went with a small order of gumbo and a small order of fettuccine. They were both equally delicious. Even with two small portions it was still way more than enough food. I ended up with leftovers at the end. I kind of figured it would be too much food, but just couldn't decide what to get. You won't be disappointed, give it a try if your looking to try something new of different.

Dish is an upscale American-Continental restaurant in the heart of Downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. Our attention to detail shines through exceptional service, and innovative, local, seasonal cuisine.
Or here, you smell like what you and everyone else is eating. Inadequate ventilation filled the restaurant with smoke so thick the place couldâve been a cigar bar, and diners wreaked of cooking.Which is too bad, because the food is superb. Chef creates unique flavor combinations that make dining here a taste treat. Locally sourced chicken with oat risotto! Beet, carrots, and raisin salad small plate finished with walnut sauce and date dressing! Perfectly seared scallops! Harissa chicken skewers with dill couscous! Every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.Gotta get that ventilation system working, though.Even the creative cocktails and attentive service couldnât compete with the smoky atmosphere. We are so sorry the atmosphere "stunk!" For the safety of the technicians who clean our six-story-tall duct work and precariously positioned rooftop ventilation fan, we were forced to wait until the snow and ice melted - pushing our scheduled maintenance back a month later than usual. In fact, the crew is scheduled for this evening! We hope to see you soon, now that we've "cleared the air." Cheers.

Because it was our first visit we were a little unsure on whether we were to seat ourselves or not. We spotted the written info just as the friendly bartender greeted us and directed us. Our food was good, no complaints there. However, our server was not interested. I am not sure if it was her general disposition or if it was just with us. She never inquired on whether everything was ok. Other servers seemed engaged and even greeted us. It won't keep us from eating here if we are in the area again, but we would hope for a different server. There are plenty of other choices in the area to try!

Creative comfort food. Hand crafted beer. High quality service in a casual atmosphere.
Perfect eatery if you want big steak, fish or chicken or a smaller meal. I had the steak and it was outstanding. Great for families. Comfortable atmosphere and casual dining. Not cheap but reasonably priced for dish size.

At Lazlo's Brewery & Grill, creative comfort food is our passion. Unique, flavorful beer is our tradition. And exceeding customer expectations is our mission.
Perfectly cooked salmon w/ coleslaw per serves suggestion. Hubby's sirloin was tender and tasty. Beer cheese soup thick and creamy. All had a touch too much salt but still delish! Very versatile menu. Good service and very generous portions. The spinach artichoke appetite was super and loved the beer bread! Stop here for sure!

We recently drove through Nebraska and stayed overnight in Lincoln. Trip Advisor recommended The Green Gateau and we went. A great recommendation, fabulous appetizers and nice mains, a great drink too, server recommended it. We didnât have dessert. We were too full. Service was great and even the adjoining diners were friendly. Weâd eat there again if we were in Lincoln.
