Japanese food, in small town Mexico? How the heck. Well it is wonderful. Is it because of the approximation of the sea? Perhaps. But it is very good. We were six of us, four great meals and two good meals. The food was excellent, I was one of the lucky four.My wife had Mexican Roll, I had Sushi Moriwasi. Mine was a taster plate with ten different offerings. All good. Our friends had various plates, all good. If you are near La Penita try them out. I do not think you can get better Japanese food In Nayrit.

This was a pleasant find, well walking the back streets,service was good Japanese food was good,beer was cold ,a quick reasonably priced non mexican meal

I didn't care much for my tuna roll. I was expecting beautiful raw tuna laid on my deep fried roll but it was cooked to grey inside the roll. I can't fully fault them though, because the menu is entirely in Spanish so I may have gotten exactly what I ordered! But they could make improvements on presentation and offer pickled ginger and wasabi on the plate. Rolls were reasonably priced and there was a lot to choose from.
